I am trying to connect with a former LBL client. You had a very powerful LBL session which included a past-life in which you were a stage coach guard named Wren. Your story actually got published in a best-selling book with 31 other individual's LBL stories. The name of that still popular book is "Memories Of The Afterlife" Edited by Michael Newton, Ph.D. with case studies by members of the Newton Institute.

In your story we used a fictitious name for you, Anna, to protect your privacy. Because we did that, I have lost track of your real name and could not find your file in order to contact you when an opportunity recently came up to possibly follow your story further. The new research, would cost you nothing, if you are interested in pursuing it. And your privacy will still be fully protected. I think Wren and Karaa's story has the potential to lift up many more lives than it already has.

Would love to give you all the details! If this post reaches you, would you please contact me directly by phone or personal email. You probably have my info, but it's a matter of public record, If you don't still have it, my contact information is on my Easton Hypnosis website www.eastonhypnosis.com .

If you are a very close friend of the person I am trying to reach, and think you recognize her, will you please reach out to her.

To all of my friends, hypnotherapy clients, and future potential clients -- I rarely visit this page anymore, but I'm definitely still in business.

During the Pandemic, I have been conducting tele-sessions. And I am quite pleased with the results we've been getting. The success actually seems to be more consistent than ever and has often been achieved in less time. I've discussed this with some of my colleagues who have had similar results. We/I have concluded that this is due to the client being in their own environment while doing the work. It's obvious in most cases that people relax more easily and that's a huge advantage when doing hypnotherapy.

For more information about my practice, and how to get in touch,
please go over to my website at www.eastonhypnosis.com.

Please stay well,

Do You Remember When Everybody Used To Smoke?
Seems like roughly 25 years ago, everybody was smoking. I know this because I treated thousands of people for smoking early in my hypnosis practice. I had a broad practice, but I was seeing more clients for smoking than all other issues combined. Back then people knew that hypnotherapy was incredibly effective for quickly ending the actual desire to smoke. All hypnotherapists were literally “paying the rent” with smoking-cessation fees. Doctor Herbert Spiegel, a headline-grabbing medical doctor (and one of my roll models) was acknowledged across the country as bringing hypnotherapy into the medical mainstream! The word was really getting out that we were able to treat pain, high anxiety, and we could even triple the national cancer survival rate (Simonton & Simonton 7-year study). But looking back now, I believe the most impactful and memorable effect we had on the population was smoking-cessation. That’s where, every day, we touched the most lives.
Back then everybody at least knew somebody who had ended their smoking habit via hypnotherapy. But of course today’s generation is not so aware of the technique which is actually a much more effective treatment than anything else available for people who can’t quit smoking. Hypnosis continues to be, in fact, around 80% effective based upon a one-year follow-up. That is the normal statistic for any competent hypnotherapist. The majority of those who are successful will tell you (just ask around) that they simply had no further interest in smoking after just one hypnosis session. No struggling! And when there is no struggling, there is no need to substitute some other vice like snacking. People often have told me that they never quite knew what relaxing was about until they got free from the desire to smoke. For some, the feeling of total success has been empowering in unexpected ways. I treated my first smoking-cessation client in 1993. In fact the first 2 smokers were both women who (and I didn’t know this) shared another issue completely unrelated to the smoking problem. One owned her own house while the other had her own apartment, and both were putting up with a live-in male person who was contributing nothing to the household expenses. Each of these ladies’, within a week of their hypnosis cession for smoking, put the freeloader’s personal possessions on the sidewalk and changed the locks!
One of the most valuable professional tools we have received from Dr. Herbert Spiegel is a test called the H.I.P., hypnotic induction profile. A high score on the test tells us that the test-recipient is highly suggestible. High scorers habituate to lots of things much more easily and strongly than low scorers. But high scorers are also the best candidates for hypnotherapy. Looking at this even more closely, smokers who are able to quit on their own almost always score low on the H.I.P. But smokers who simply cannot get free from ci******es with will-power, almost always have a very high score on the test. Do you get the point there? Think about it!
Of course this kind of understanding applies to many more behaviors than just smoking. I think it’s time that we get this word out again to more people. We’re being distracted today by so many competing pharmaceutical solutions to all of our problems. If those products are able to fix your life, or the life of someone you care about, that’s great. But it’s also true that nature gave each of us an amazing set of creative healing powers/gifts that reside within our own minds and bodies. When we enter a profoundly relaxed state, we are all capable of accessing those gifts. The Greek word “hypnos” is the root word in “hypnosis.” It means “sleep.” What could be more natural than that?

Over the last 2 decades it has become increasingly obvious, to me, that a significant number of people on this planet are tolerating illogical and debilitating feelings of either anxiety or sadness. There are other problematic emotions too, but these two are the most common in my practice. When asked why they tolerate this exhausting emotional baggage, the people simply say that there doesn't seem to be any alternative. Any medical diagnosis of the problem always leads to medication as the best treatment. Pharmaceuticals seem to improve matters for a few, but others only notice unpleasant side-effects with no really discernible benefits. At some point one simply becomes resigned to living with the problem, even though it may gradually worsen with time.

I'm writing this because there is real hope. It needs to be more available to those in need, but I believe that is improving, too. There is a growing body of evidence that all of the people I'm describing above have actually survived REAL traumatic experiences in the past, that have never been resolved. Their current issues with illogical emotions are in fact the result of those unresolved past experiences. It's like a message from the past that something needs to be attended to. But the whole thing seems impossibly stuck because the person usually has no memory at all of the causal traumatic past event (or events).

It is now understood that our lives can be affected by unremembered traumatic events that may, for example, have occurred between conception and infancy. That's right, we can be significantly affected while in the womb, or during the process of birth, or during the first year of two of life. I should also mention that some individuals DO remember the causal event that has led to their problematic emotional state, but those issues, too, are calling out from the past that they need to be put to rest before comfort can be regained. So how can a person resolve traumas that are not even remembered? I'll get to that shortly, but first I need to acknowledge another huge source of possible past trauma that we probably wouldn't remember.

A group of psychiatry professors at the "University of Virginia's Division of Perceptual Studies" has gathered massive amounts of data that they offer as proof that reincarnation is a real aspect of our existence. It seems that unresolved traumas in past lives can also affect our well being and emotions in our current lives either positively or negatively. If the reader believes in reincarnation, this is an easy concept to accept. But I have found that one doesn't have to believe in reincarnation in order to engage the healing benefits of such ideas. As it turns out, metaphor is just as good as reality when it comes to resolving mysterious problematic issues. We all have to work within our personal comfort zones.

I love writing about this stuff, but I will stop now and get to what I believe is the most important point of all. If you, or someone you know, is enduring life-limiting illogical negative emotions, their are real events behind those feelings. Those causal events are known and remembered within the depths of your (their) subconscious mind. A single 2 to 3 hour hypnotherapy session can not only reveal the cause(s), but also creates at long last the opportunity to resolve that trauma with relative ease. Surprisingly, this kind of hypnosis session is likely to be extremely interesting but also fun. The results tend to be immediate and can be tested before the client leaves the office. A few individuals will require a follow up session, and a very few will discover that this approach is not one that works for them.

Please don't hesitate to call me or email me with personal questions. Even if we talk for quite a while there is never any cost for such consultations.

INSTALLMENT 10 --THE MEANING OF LIFE – we may be doing much better than we know:

I think I’ve said enough for awhile about how tough we can be on ourselves in the pursuit of soul goals. Let’s shift the emphasis to considering the incredibly bright rewards that make all of our efforts more than worthwhile. By utilizing super-conscious hypnosis to access soul memories, we have learned a great deal about the beautiful reality hidden just behind the curtains of our human lives. We are still discovering how unbelievably precious, sacred, and indestructible our existence truly is. I am convinced that the human mind is just not quite equipped to fully appreciate how much we are all blessed with love, support, and freedom. While there certainly are wonderful examples of these gifts in our physical world, this earthly environment falls way short of what we actually have.

Let me remind you that, for nearly half of my life, I believed and accepted that life was a “terminal condition.” In my mind, the fate of all beings was absolute destruction. But once I stumbled into my first effective encounter with “personal proof” ----- specifically, proof that immortality is not a myth -------- I felt driven to find the logic and science that would explain how that could be! Advanced physics helped me. The emerging field of mind technology helped me. When I discovered the awesome tool kit called hypnosis, that helped me a lot. And finding the life-work of Michael Newton (a skeptic like me) has now brought me to a very gratifying point in this process. It has given me some excellent tools with which I can explore beyond the limitations of my human mind. Does that make me special? No way! I am not even close to achieving any sort of ultimate enlightenment.

My path toward spiritual discovery is not the only path and I’m pretty sure it is not even a particularly easy path. I suspect that there are probably as many paths as there are souls. From my current perspective, I also suspect that no path is ever finished. It seems pretty clear that, once we wring all we can out of as many human reincarnational cycles as it takes to satisfy us, we will simply continue to seek and explore. But we will likely remain in our more natural state as souls operating in our most comfortable environment in which non-linear time provides far more freedom and creativity.

Ah, but as compelling as all that freedom sounds, let us not lose sight of the importance of this human life we’re living right now, and the opportunity that it offers to every one of us. When each of us volunteered for this current earthly incarnation, we were also choosing to temporarily distance ourselves from that love and support that is ours in the Spirit World. We did that so we could test our capabilities once more. The little things we do today and tomorrow may be as important, or more so, than the big things we try to do. All you need to do is the best you can do. It won’t be perfect, but may be more worthwhile than any of us can appreciate right now.

INSTALLMENT 9 --THE MEANING OF LIFE – is there a dark side? (continued)

For us humans here in time-space, there is no shortage of potentially dangerous events on planet earth. Most of us have already learned not to touch hot stoves or pick up poisonous snakes. However just by being here, we actually do have to tolerate a certain amount of risk to life and limb every day. We all know that driving a car is dangerous but that kind of risk doesn’t seem to limit us much, if at all. If we allow our thoughts to drift toward the sorts of dark and sinister events that often show up in the news media, we’re likely to be thinking about the awful things that humans do to each other. Abusing, vandalizing, robbing, murdering, terrorizing, going to war, or even just threatening to do such things. That’s what I am calling the dark side. If you are even half way normal, you will reflexively categorize all of these things as “BAD,” and rightly so! Even though we are spiritual beings having a temporary human experience, it’s a fact that our physical bodies (and physical minds) are sensitive and fragile. So I’ll not be maligning the human belief, at least for now, that bad stuff needs to be respected and avoided if possible.

Moving to the higher perspective though, our souls are still learning, growing, and forming their energetic presence in numerous ways, including through our human experiences. In the physical world, when life is smooth and easy, it turns out that there isn’t very much to be learned. It’s the challenges and conflicts in life that we tend to learn from and grow from the most. Does that mean that I can only learn and grow through pain? Well, on our planet that is certainly one of the more popular patterns. But take heart dear reader. No matter how frustrating it may seem at times, our souls are on a path toward greater and greater wisdom. One of the benefits that comes along with this, for us humans, is that we are gradually learning how to challenge ourselves in more creative, rewarding, and pleasant ways than by just allowing painful “bad stuff” to befall us. Nonetheless, while we’re on our way toward perfecting this lovely wisdom, our souls will choreograph a few rather gruesome (to us) scenarios in order to gain positive understanding and eventual wisdom.

Last installment, I mentioned that murder can be a mutually beneficial agreement between souls. The most common basic arrangement begins with two souls coming together to make a plan prior to starting a new incarnation. There are obviously two different experiences to be had – the role of murderer and the role of victim. Depending upon the larger story, including the possible involvement of other souls, there could be an almost endless variety of lessons in understanding, compassion, and humility. It’s important to understand that there is seldom any negative karma involved at the soul level, because the two primary characters will nearly always swap roles and do the whole thing over again in a later incarnation together. Ultimately both will forever KNOW what it feels like to be that kind of victim, and both will know first-hand the realities that go with being the perpetrator. A very humbling form of humility is certainly one of the timeless benefits for both participants in this event. Heartfelt compassion for other’s suffering is another priceless and timeless benefit. Does this sound crazy? Frankly, at some level, I think it should.

So think about this. Have you always been aware of a deep abiding feeling of compassion within yourself for people who are victims of heinous crimes? If the answer is yes, then it’s quite possible that you and one of your dearest soul-buddies, likely with the assistance of some other beloved soul friends, have already successfully played out similar roles to those I’ve just described. And that also means you’re not likely to ever need to do it again.

Bless you. Bless us all.

INSTALLMENT 8 --THE MEANING OF LIFE – is there a dark side? (continued)

As humans we certainly are learning about suffering. So what do our souls gain from the pain and chaos? Certainly this is a matter for ongoing study, but some things are already clear and understandable. A soul will deliberately take on a particular kind of pain as an incarnational challenge, with the intention of working through it and eventually (sometimes over several physical lifetimes) overcoming it. Overcoming doesn’t mean learning how to push the pain away. It literally means that a new and positive perspective is achieved so that such pain is no longer perceived as suffering. Once that new perspective is attained, the real benefit comes into view. And that benefit is a genuine treasure that the soul will keep forever -- it’s called “compassion.”

Here’s another scenario. It’s common for a soul to volunteer to play the role of an abuser in an earthly incarnation. When that happens it could mean that the soul is actually a fairly experienced one who has perhaps been a little too saintly during his recent incarnations. As a result he may realize that his selflessness and humility are starting to fade a bit. In other words, he’s starting to feel a wee bit special. Therefore, if this soul knows another soul who happens to have been working on overcoming oppression during her recent incarnations, the two may agree to help each other. In their next earthly incarnation together, she needs an oppressor to interact with so she can continue to work on learning how to overcome that negative influence. And He will gladly play the role of oppressor because he needs to experience a life in which he will be far from saintly, in order to regain and restore some of his precious selflessness and humility. In fact we have found this to be a fairly common scenario.

I’ve learned that even physical murder can be a mutually beneficial agreement between two souls. The complexities in that extreme scenario are deserving of further comment – perhaps next installment. However I must say that, in my own current earthly life, I have on rare occasion seen some human behavior that is so obviously devoid of compassion that it baffles me. It is behavior that seems to defy any soul-level explanation. Fortunately such evil, if I may call it that, is relatively uncommon. But for me it remains one of the few really nagging questions. I believe the answer will be provided one day – very possibly during an LBL regression session.

Final comment for today: Were it not for things like beautiful sunsets, music, laughter, and love shared with friends, the opportunity to grow and learn on planet earth would probably not be worth the trouble.

Please, if you have questions enter them here. I will do my best to answer you in a future installment. See you next Friday!

INSTALLMENT 7 --THE MEANING OF LIFE – is there a dark side?

The more I and my colleagues have studied this spiritual reality that seems to underlie all existence, the more obvious it has become that, above all things, we appear to be safe and secure. We continue to find overwhelming evidence that love, justice, and freedom of choice reign supreme in the Spirit World. The reasons for this are almost obvious. Since all communication between souls is telepathic, we cannot hide secrets at that level. In the Spirit World there is no shortage of real estate or food or transportation. No one can hoard the valuable commodities, and then force others to pay an inflated price to get them. There is simply no way for anyone to use personal power in a way that would harm anyone else.

On earth we cannot imagine society without a hierarchy of individual achievement or inheritance that places some people above others. But outside of time-space, souls tell us there is no such hierarchy. How can that be? There is no question that some souls have far more experience than others. But we have to understand how such differences are perceived in the Spirit World. As a soul accumulates more and more experience, the whole process is motivated by a compelling drive toward greater selflessness and humility. One way to appreciate the universality of this compulsion is to try to understand that we are ultimately inseparable bits of the “One-ness” that created us. As souls we seem to be working toward confirming that fact. Therefore a more highly experienced soul will find it increasingly difficult to regard any less-experienced souls as less valuable than any others. However as a human being, I am comforted to find that less-experienced souls do sometimes regard more-experienced souls with longing. Ah yes! Someday I want to grow up to be like her.

But here on earth things are very different. We use pain as a learning tool here! Most of us would prefer not to hurt others, but sometimes we do it anyway. And sometimes we’ve even done it intentionally. On earth there is a limited amount of land for us all to live on. Also, in order to survive, we have to get our hands on enough of the medium-of-exchange to at least feed and shelter ourselves. If we do well, we may acquire lots of worldly toys, but those can become a further responsibility and burden that must be cared for. Obviously earthly life can bring small and large disasters, as well as physical and mental illnesses that can terrorize any of us at any time. The evening news is always filled with stories of people hurting other people.

So why would a soul volunteer for any of this, either as a perpetrator or victim? By using hypnosis to recover soul memories of how we make our plans before each incarnation, much has been learned that truly helps us to understand some of the apparent craziness in the physical world. But there is so much we don’t understand yet.

I will continue this next Friday. Please present your questions if you have some, and I will do my best to answer them in a future installment.
