PEPTIDES ARE POWERFUL. MONITORING MATTERS.
Human growth hormone and peptides that influence the growth-hormone pathway are increasingly being used to support performance, recovery, body composition and wellness.
But when you're influencing a major biological pathway, more isn't necessarily better.
Growth hormone affects IGF-1, which plays an important role in growth, metabolism and cellular activity throughout the body—not just muscle.
That's why appropriate dosing and regular monitoring matter.
Excessive GH activity or inappropriate use can be associated with:
• Insulin resistance and elevated blood sugar
• Fluid retention and swelling
• Joint and muscle discomfort
• Carpal tunnel symptoms
• Acne, oily skin and other skin changes
• Blood pressure and cardiovascular changes
• Abnormal tissue and organ growth
• Effects on developing bones and growth plates in younger patients
There are also important considerations surrounding growth signaling and abnormal cells, particularly for individuals with certain medical histories.
And while peptides have become extremely popular, some performance peptides have much less long-term human safety data than their popularity might suggest.
That doesn't mean peptide therapy is something to fear.
It means it should be monitored.
When a therapy influences the growth-hormone pathway, appropriate evaluation may include IGF-1 and other laboratory markers based on the individual, therapy and medical history.
At Elite Integrative MediSun, our philosophy is simple:
Know your baseline.
Use appropriate dosing.
Monitor your levels.
Adjust when necessary.
If you're currently using peptides without regular bloodwork—or considering starting—let's make sure you have the information you need to use them responsibly.
