I’ve been having the same conversation with so many moms lately…

Moms who feel overwhelmed.
Moms who are more reactive than they want to be.
Moms who don’t quite feel like themselves.

And I’ve been thinking about creating a small, supportive space for moms who feel this way—

Something simple.
Not overwhelming.
Just practical support and guidance for real life.

If this is something you’d need right now…

So much of motherhood advice focuses on:

– better routines
– more structure
– doing things “right”

But most overwhelmed moms don’t need more strategies.

They need more support.

Because no routine can compensate for:
– an overloaded nervous system
– constant emotional demand
– doing too much without enough help

You don’t need to try harder.

You need to be held more 🤍

Unclench your jaw
Drop your shoulders
Slow your exhale

When you feel overwhelmed, your body tightens automatically.

Jaw clenches.
Shoulders rise.
Breathing becomes shallow.

Before trying to “fix” anything, start here:

Unclench your jaw
Drop your shoulders
Slow your exhale

This signals safety to your nervous system.

It’s small—but it matters 🤍

When your nervous system is overwhelmed, it can feel like everything becomes harder.

You become more reactive.
More overstimulated.
More emotionally exhausted.

Not because you’re failing.

But it is because your system has been carrying too much for too long.

Sometimes support starts in very small places:

– slowing your breath
– naming what you’re feeling
– reducing stimulation
– letting someone help hold you for a moment

You do not need to “do motherhood better”.

You need more support, more softness, and more regulation around you 🤍

Which slide resonated most with you?

I’ve been sitting with this for a while…And I have a feeling more of us are feeling it than we realise.🤍

Motherhood isn’t hard because you’re doing it wrong.

It’s hard because your nervous system is carrying more than it was ever meant to—without enough rest, space, or support.

You’re needed constantly.
You’re touched constantly.
You’re thinking for everyone, all day long.

And that takes a toll.

So if you feel overwhelmed…
If you’re snapping more quickly than you want to…
If you end the day feeling guilty and exhausted…

Nothing has gone wrong.

Your system is overloaded.

And it makes sense 🤍

I see this all the time—in my practice, and in my own life too.

So if this resonates with you, you’re not alone.

Save this for the days it feels like too much 🤍

“Every day, you have the power to choose.” - Michelle Obama

While there are many things we don’t necessarily have the power to choose, there are some things we can choose.

We can start each day and choose
~ how we see ourselves
~ how we speak to ourselves
~ how we see others
~ how we speak to others
~ how we see the world
~ what our responses & reactions towards the world around us are

Whether the choice is big or small, easy or difficult, let there be a conscious choice of what you are choosing each new day.
