The South Carolina EMS Association is proud to recognize Brianna Shipman of Edgefield County EMS with the 2026 Team Impact Award during EMS Week.

With more than 10 years of service in EMS, Brianna has built a reputation as a leader who consistently puts her crews first. Her nomination highlighted the way she supports providers during difficult calls, mentors team members and remains present for her crews when they need support the most.

Known for fostering a culture of teamwork, trust and professionalism, Brianna’s leadership continues to make a lasting impact on both the people around her and the organization she serves.

We had a busy start to our EMS Week and we forgot to capture more pictures! Every year we celebrate our EMS staff and all of our support staff that support our mission to serve others. We had a great turnout to celebrate our EMS team!!

Congratulations to our very own Supervisor Carl Culpepper. He is being awarded by The American Legion Post 30 as the Public Safety Officer of the Year! He was also awarded at the state level and will be recognized in May.

ECEMS is excited to announce a new career opportunity! We are hosting a EMT Academy right here in Edgefield! This is a great opportunity to become involved in your community and help others!

We will offer paid training and upon successful completion and certification, employees will be assigned to a full-time shift.

The Academy is scheduled to start in early February.
