One of my biggest fitness pet peeves is content that tells women they have to choose between strength training and Pilates.

As if one is “better” than the other.

The truth? They serve different purposes.

Strength training is how we build muscle, get stronger, support our metabolism, and maintain bone density as we age.

Pilates-style movement helps us connect to our bodies. It teaches us how to engage our core, use our breath, improve stability, and develop the mind-muscle connection that makes every workout more effective.

That’s why you’ll find both inside my programming.

I don’t want women mindlessly burning calories.

I want women building strength.

I want women understanding how their bodies move.

I want women feeling confident enough to pick up heavier weights while also knowing how to properly engage their deep core.

The goal isn’t to get smaller.

The goal is to become stronger, more capable, and more connected to your body.

And ironically, that’s often what creates the “toned” look so many women are chasing in the first place.
