🚨🚨 WE’RE MOVING TO A BIGGER SPACE! 🚨🚨

The response to our NWPA Adaptive Equipment Exchange has been incredible — so incredible that we’ve already outgrown our original location!

We are thrilled to announce that the Adaptive Equipment Exchange will now be held at:

📍 Mellon Heritage Veteran’s Outreach Campus
2142 Freeport Road
North East, PA 16428
(Former Mercyhurst North East Campus)

Our new location gives us much more space for all of the adaptive equipment, mobility devices, medical equipment, sensory items, and other resources being donated for local families.

📅 Sunday, October 11, 2026
⏰ 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

The date and time are staying the same — only the location is changing!

We are incredibly grateful to the Mellon Heritage Foundation for generously providing this space for our community.

Please SHARE and help us spread the word about our new location!

More details about the Exchange — including parking and entrance information — will be shared as we get closer to the event.

📣 **You’ve been asking, so here it is — How will the Adaptive Equipment Exchange work?**

We are so excited to welcome families to our **FREE Adaptive Equipment Exchange on October 11!** As we get closer, we want everyone to know what to expect and how the day will work.

⭐ **FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED**
We will allow **5 families in at a time**. Families waiting to enter will form a single-file line outside.

**IMPORTANT:** We only have one hour to set up before the Exchange begins. Please keep the entrance and unloading area completely clear so our volunteers can bring trailers and donated equipment to the door.

⭐ **ITEM LIMITS**
To give as many families as possible a chance to find what they need, each family may initially choose:

• **1 large item**
• **3 small items**

During the **final hour**, we plan to lift item limits. We may lift them earlier depending on how much equipment remains.

⭐ **LARGE ITEMS & HOLDS**
We can hold a selected item for **30 minutes only**. If you are hoping to take home a large item, please plan ahead and bring appropriate transportation for pickup.

⭐ **HAVE SOMETHING TO DONATE? BRING IT!**
You are welcome to bring gently used adaptive equipment to the Exchange. Our volunteers will help get your donations inside.

Please note: **bringing a donation does not move you ahead in the line.**

⭐ **SIGN-IN & WAIVER REQUIRED**
Every family entering the Exchange will be required to sign in and complete a waiver. Volunteers will be available throughout the event to answer questions and help you.

⭐ **THIS EVENT IS FOR OUR FAMILIES — NOT RESELLERS**
Everything at the Exchange is **FREE** and is intended for families in our community who can use these items.

**Items received at the Exchange are not to be resold.**

When your family is finished with an item, we hope you’ll **pay it forward** by passing it along to another family who can use it. That’s what this Exchange is all about — helping these resources continue to move through our community. 💙

⭐ **A FEW MORE THINGS TO KNOW**

All equipment is donated and provided **as-is**.

Please only take items that your family can use so we can help as many families as possible.

Items pictured in our posts and reels are examples of equipment we have collected, but **we cannot guarantee that a particular item will still be available when you enter the Exchange.**

And finally, please be patient and kind to our volunteers and to the other families attending. We’re expecting a busy day, and our goal is to make this a positive experience for everyone!

💙 **Everything is FREE. No registration required. Just come and see what your family can use.**

We’ve been working hard this summer! 💪

Not only are we already planning for the 2027 Disability Resource Fair, but we’re also getting ready for our upcoming Adaptive Equipment Exchange!

Our team has put lots of miles on our cars this summer, traveling throughout our communities to pick up gently-loved adaptive and disability equipment from families who are ready to pass it along to someone else who can use it. 🚗 💨

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes—and we’re excited about what’s ahead! 💚

Follow us to stay up to date on upcoming events, announcements, and ways to get involved!

💙 Today is Erie Gives Day! 💙

The Disability Resource Fair of NWPA was created by two special needs moms with one goal: to make it easier for local families to find the resources, support, and opportunities they need.

Every donation helps us provide adaptive equipment and resources, create new programs and events, and most importantly, keep our events FREE for local families.

We’re just getting started, and we would be incredibly grateful for your support today. 💙

Your donation stays local. Your impact is real.
