Are you up to date on your colon cancer screening?

Routine screening now begins at age 45, not 50. If you have an immediate family member who was diagnosed with colon cancer, you may need to start screening 10 years earlier than their age at diagnosis.
It might be time to schedule your screening. Early detection saves lives. Talk to your healthcare provider about the screening option that's right for you.

Our team recently had the opportunity to provide opioid overdose awareness and Narcan administration training to staff at McAllen ISD. Participants learned how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and how to confidently respond in an emergency by administering Narcan, a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and save lives.

We are proud to see our schools and community partners taking proactive steps to become prepared for these situations. Interested in scheduling a free opioid awareness and Narcan training for your organization, workplace, school, or community group? Contact us today to schedule a training.

Our team ā€œwent purpleā€ in recognition of Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month to help raise awareness about the importance of brain health and supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. ????

It’s never too early or too late to take steps that support a healthy brain. Becoming familiar with brain health and recognizing memory concerns early can make an important difference for you or someone you love.

Research shows that adopting healthy habits, such as regular physical activity, quality sleep, social engagement, and managing overall health, may help reduce the risk of cognitive decline. We encourage our community to learn more about the Alzheimer’s Association’s 10 Healthy Habits for Your Brain and consider incorporating them into daily life. Small healthy choices today can support brain health for the future. ????
