Triple-digit temperatures have returned to the Borderland.
To help keep our community safe during periods of extreme heat, the City of El Paso has activated cooling centers throughout the city. Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and check on family members, neighbors, and friends who may be more vulnerable to heat-related illness.
Cooling centers are available at select recreation centers and public libraries across El Paso.
Please review the attached news release for a complete list of cooling center locations, hours of operation, heat safety tips, fan assistance information, and additional community resources.
Stay safe, stay cool, and take care of one another this summer.
