Meet the leader behind our next generation of BCBAs. 💙

Desarae brings more than a decade of experience in behavioral and mental health, five years as a BCBA, a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Miami, and she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis at Simmons University. Her clinical expertise runs deep in early intervention and severe behavior.

BUT here’s what we’re especially excited about:

BCBAs are hard to find in El Paso, so we’re helping grow the next generation right here at home.

Desarae leads our Clinical Fellowship Program, supporting our future BCBAs from behavior technician to board certification through hands-on supervision, mentorship, and clinical development right here at Better Together.

As Better Together continues to grow, we’re building our clinical team from every direction: welcoming experienced BCBAs while also investing in the talented clinicians already working toward certification.

And Desarae leads that work with exactly what matters most to us: compassion, collaboration, strong clinical practice, and a genuine understanding of the families behind every treatment plan.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Dr. Alexis Favela, Ph.D., BCBA, LBA, our Clinical Development Director, as she takes the stage at this year’s TxABA Conference right here in El Paso! 🎉

This opportunity is a reflection of Alexis’s own expertise, dedication, and commitment to advancing the field of behavior analysis. Her passion for compassionate, evidence-based care and for developing future behavior analysts continues to make an impact both within our organization and throughout our professional community.

Every celebration is an opportunity to learn. 🎉
 
At Better Together Behavioral Health, we intentionally create meaningful celebrations so our clients can build the skills they need to confidently participate in birthdays, holidays, and family gatherings outside of therapy.
 
During this birthday celebration, our clients had an amazing time taking turns hitting the piñata while practicing important social and life skills. They worked on waiting patiently for their turn, following directions, communicating with peers, sharing, celebrating others, and participating in a group activity.
 
These moments help children gain the confidence and independence to enjoy special occasions with their families and create lasting memories together.
