Save-A-Life Day

Empowering our community with lifesaving skills can make all the difference in an emergency. From learning CPR to participating in programs like STOP THE BLEED, every second counts and every person trained has the potential to save a life.

Did you know all faculty and staff in the El Paso School District is certified in CPR and Stop the Bleed? We were able to certify everyone during their annual CPR renewal. We also received a grant to supply our schools, El Paso PD and Woodford County Deputies with stop the bleed kits.

We also offer CPR classes along with ACLS, PALS and ITLS to the community and providers. We enjoy getting to work with different businesses and organizations such as the Woodford County Health Department to continue CPR certifications and education. CPR saves lives!

Together we can build a safer, stronger community prepared to respond when it matters most 🚑❤️

EMS For Children

Every child deserves compassionate, specialized, high quality care when emergencies happen. Today, we recognize the importance of pediatric-focused emergency medicine, ongoing training and the dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to care for our youngest patients when they need it most👶🏼🚑

From the first 911 call to treatment and transport, advocating for children means ensuring they receive the right care, at the right time, from providers prepared for their unique needs.

At EES, our critical care providers are trained to transport and care for children using specialized equipment such as the AirVo Heated High Flow. We can also monitor and titrate infusions like Insulin so children can have necessary medications and fluids infusing during transport. All of our advanced providers are also certified in Neonatal Resuscitation. We’ve recently teamed up with OSF St James to use their Baby Pod to transport the tiniest of patients🤱🏼

EMS Safety Day🚨

Every call is a reminder that safety starts before the emergency 🚑

By promoting prevention, awareness and safe practices, we help protect EMS professionals, patients and the communities we serve daily. From scene safety to public education, every action makes a difference.

We team up with El Paso PD and Woodford County Sheriff’s Office to make sure our crews are safe on calls when needed.

Did you know EES has teamed up with Woodford County and other surrounding agencies to create a Rescue Task Force? From AISM (Active Shooter Incident Management) training to tabletops to full scale drills, we have trained for when our communities may need it most: an active shooter. This is all about keeping everyone safe and doing the best for the greatest number of people, Improving Outcomes Together.

Together, we can build safer responses, stronger communities and better outcomes for everyone💙

From classroom instruction and hands-on labs to ambulance ride time, ER experiences, specialty clinical rotations, and continuing education...EMS providers complete extensive training to care for our communities.

And the learning never stops. Our providers are offered training every month to stay prepared to deliver the highest level of care possible.

Behind every 911 response is extensive preparation, critical thinking, teamwork, and a lifelong commitment to learning.

During EMS week, we are proud to recognize not only the providers serving our communities today, but also the students, educators, clinical partners, and preceptors helping train the next generation of EMS professionals.

EMS Education Day

This EMS week, we’re highlighting the power of education — because knowledge saves lives. From ongoing training for EMS professionals to teaching the public lifesaving skills like CPR, emergency preparedness, and when to call 911, education empowers our communities every day.

At EES, several of our advanced providers hold certifications such as Certified Critical Care Paramedic and Certified Flight Paramedic from the IBSC along with Certified Flight Registered Nurse. This allows our providers to provide advanced care to patients we transfer from OSF St James, OSF St Joes and Carle Bromenn. Our providers are trained to use ventilators, HHF, invasive line monitoring and Alaris pumps to monitor and titrate infusions.

We also provide continuing critical care education and monthly training for all level providers to come together and review calls and protocols.

Strong education creates stronger responders, safer patients and healthier communities. We’re proud to continue learning, teaching and serving with excellence🚑📚💙
