On Wednesday May 13, 2026 Elcho Area Health Planning participated in the Culver’s Share program to aid in the funding of the Elcho Area Hike and Bike Trail construction.

Construction of the segment going on the east side of Hwy 45 from the north side of Elcho School to the Otter Lake Wayside should be completed this week. Construction on the next segment going south is planned for 2027.
​When completed, the trail will provide a safe path for both bicyclists and pedestrians from Co. Hwy B south of Elcho to Co. Hwy G north of town. For more information and where to send donations visit the website EAHPinc.org.

​We wish to thank Antigo Culvers that is owned and operated by Rick LeBrun for donating 10% of the night’s purchases to the Elcho Area Hike and Bike Trail Project fund raising efforts.

The Langlade County Forestry, Recreation, and Parks Department wants to hear from you. Take the Outdoor Recreation Survey to provide feedback on parks and trails maintained by Langlade County. Survey takes about 15 minutes and is available through March 29, 2026.

Information about Walking Path:

EAHP is a volunteer run organization of community members with the focus on promoting the health and safety of our community.

The walking path in Elcho was developed by EAHP through grants, donations and fund raising events. NO town taxpayer money was used to fund the trail.

The current trail is only section 1 of the plan. Design of section 2 (south of town) of the trail has already been completed with fund raising for construction currently taking place. Section 3 (continuing north from current trail) will be completed following section 2. There is always potential for the trail to be expanded on after that as well.
