I feel like it is time for a fresh hello! Whether we have known each other for years, you’ve been in once or twice or you are just finding your way here, I am so glad you are. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it means to own a business and how that looks for me as we grow and evolve. To some, this might just be a job that pays the bills, but for me it has become so much more. It is a purpose. I truly believe that entrepreneurship is stewardship and that what God places in our hands is meant to be used to serve others.
This has really changed how I handle the pressure we so often feel as business owners or independent contractors. We are constantly being told how to grow, keep up with ever changing algorithms or that we need to post five times a day just to stay relevant. It can be exhausting and there can be a lot of burnout trying to do it all. I have come to learn that my business doesn't have to look like the world’s version of success. I don’t think that this "hustle" culture feels authentic or genuine and I think that is what we are all missing lately. I get to define what success looks like for me as an individual. Don’t get me wrong, growth is exciting! I will always be so grateful for growth. But it can also be exhausting if you aren’t rooted in your purpose or if you find yourself chasing the wrong things. I am not here to chase money. I am here for you and for connection. The rest is a bonus.
We live in a world that is so loud and so fast, full of busy schedules, endless messages, but we all crave and need genuine connection. If you haven’t yet and you choose to walk through our doors and see me, please know that I do not take that lightly. I am so deeply honored that you trust me with your time, your beauty, your skin, and even your vulnerability. There are plenty of places where you are just another person on the schedule or another transaction in the system. I value that you are in this space with me for a reason.
I have been an esthetician for 16 years, I have experience on the derm/ medical side of skin care. I love helping people with anti-aging, acne and peels, mixing relaxation and real clinical results. Along with that, I have 20 years of makeup experience in bridal, film, TV, and print, and the last 8 years specializing in permanent makeup.
Whether we are celebrating your wedding day, which is a happy day I’ve shared with so many brides over the years, or you are walking through a season that feels impossible, just know that I want this to be a resting place where you can lay it all down. I have seen woman struggling to conceive, navigating the pain of divorce, the soul grieving the loss of a child, and the one simply looking for a moment of peace in a hectic schedule. You aren't just a client. I truly enjoy every single person who comes to see me and I love hearing about your lives. I have made so many lasting friendships through these years and I can’t begin to tell you how meaningful that is to me.
When I’m not at the spa, I’m raising my three kids with my husband and tending to our small farm in DeWitt. I’ve learned to love the simple life and I really enjoy the beauty of slowing down. That is, as much as I can when you have three kids in all the activities! 🙂
My hope is that when you visit me at The Soul Collective, you leave feeling refreshed in your body and encouraged in your spirit. Can’t wait to see you!
