A Prayer to Count It All Joy & Trust God Is Still Working
Father God,
Today I choose to trust You, even when life doesn't make sense. Your Word says in James 1:2-4 to count it all joy when I face different kinds of trials. That doesn't necessarily mean I gotta enjoy the struggle. It means I trust that You're doing something bigger than what I can see.
Lord God, when I’m pressed on all sides, help me remember You haven't left me. You're refining me. You're strengthening my faith. You're producing endurance in me, and I refuse to quit before Your work is finished.
Your Word says in Romans 5:3-5 that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope. Build that kind of hope in me Father God, the kind that stands firm because Your love has been poured into my heart through the Holy Spirit.
Father God, when I'm tired, remind me of Isaiah 40:31. As I wait on You, renew my strength. Let me rise above discouragement like an eagle soaring above the storm. Give me the strength to keep walking when I feel worn out and to keep running without giving up.
Teach me to stay grounded. Your Word says in Psalm 1 that the person who delights in Your Word is like a tree planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in season. Make me steady. Make me rooted. Let every trial push my roots deeper into You instead of pulling me away from You.
Jesus, help me remember that You understand suffering. Hebrews 12:2 says You endured the cross because of the joy set before You. When following You costs me something, give me the same endurance. Help me keep my eyes on eternity instead of getting stuck in today's pain.
Father God, I refuse to waste this season. Shape my character. Expose pride. Burn away fear. Break every habit that keeps me from looking more like Christ. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me, just as David prayed in Psalm 51:10.
When I don't know what to do, I'll ask You, Father God. James 1:5 says You give wisdom generously to those who ask. So I'm asking now. Give me wisdom for every decision, every conversation, every battle, and every closed door. Help me respond with faith instead of frustration.
I declare that this trial won't define me. It’s gonna develop me. I declare that what the enemy meant for harm, You’re gonna use for good, according to Romans 8:28. I declare that I'm being transformed into the image of Christ, from glory to glory, by Your Spirit, as Your Word says in 2 Corinthians 3:18.
I won't let hardship make me bitter. I'll let it make me better. I won't let waiting steal my faith. I'll let it strengthen my trust. I won't settle for temporary or fake comfort when You're producing eternal fruit.
Father God, finish what You've started in me. Your Word says in Philippians 1:6 that He who began a good work in me will carry it to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. I believe You're faithful to finish every promise and every work You've begun.
I receive patience. I receive endurance. I receive wisdom. I receive peace that stands firm in the middle of pressure. I receive joy that isn't based on my circumstances but on who You are. Hallelujah! No matter what comes, I'll keep trusting You. I'll keep obeying You. I'll keep standing on Your Word, because You're faithful, You're good, and You've never failed me. Thank You for the cross Jesus. Thank You for saving me from darkness. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
