Stiff by 2 p.m.? Your desk setup might not be the whole problem. Staying still is.

Long stretches of sitting leave the neck, shoulders, spine, wrists, and hips tight and cranky. A few simple movement breaks can change how you feel by the end of the workday. Try these:

🔹 Neck and shoulder rolls to release built-up tension
🔹 Seated thoracic twists to keep your mid-back moving
🔹 Wrist circles and stretches, especially if you type all day
🔹 Standing hip flexor stretches to counter all that sitting

Aim for a quick round every hour or so. Save this post as your reminder, and share it with a coworker who's rubbing their neck right now.

If workday stiffness has turned into ongoing pain, call or text 252-580-1231 and let's take a closer look.

Want to recover faster? A lot of it happens at home.

At Northeastern Spine and Sport Chiropractic, treatment doesn't stop when your appointment ends. Every patient receives customized rehabilitation exercises to perform between visits, because what you do on your own matters just as much as what happens on the table.

A personalized rehab plan helps you progress quicker, build lasting strength, and stay independent instead of relying on constant visits. That's the whole point of good care.

Ask about your exercise program at your next visit, or book online at nesschiro.com.

Fall sports are back, and so are the aches that come with two-a-days, weekend tournaments, and long practices.

Student-athletes put serious stress on growing muscles and joints. Overuse injuries like shin splints, tendon irritation, and nagging soreness can build quietly until they sideline a season.

Chiropractic care, dry needling, manual therapy, and rehabilitation exercises can help young athletes recover between practices, move better, and stay in the game. Addressing small problems early beats treating big ones later.

Call or text 252-580-1231 to schedule an evaluation before a minor issue becomes a major one.

Dry needling gets confused with acupuncture all the time, but the two are very different.

Dry needling targets muscular trigger points, those tight, irritable spots that limit movement and keep tension locked in. By releasing them, it can help improve mobility and reduce muscle tightness so you can get back to doing what you love.

At Northeastern Spine and Sport Chiropractic, Dr. Owen uses dry needling for a range of conditions, including shin splints, tennis elbow, golf elbow, and other extremity injuries that don't always respond to rest alone.

Feeling better? That's great news. It's also not the finish line.

Pain relief is just one part of recovery. Once symptoms improve, consistent chiropractic care helps maintain mobility, keep joints functioning well, and prevent the setbacks that send so many people right back to square one.

At Northeastern Spine and Sport Chiropractic, we want you moving through work, sports, and everyday life without interruption. Staying on schedule with your care is one of the simplest ways to make that happen.

Call or text 252-580-1231 to keep your progress going.
