Ridgeline orthotics is a 3D orthotic printing company founded by a physiotherapist to provide a new spin on a product that has been established for over a hundred years. Traditionally, orthotics have been designed to restrict certain foot mechanics during the gait cycle to prevent aberrant stressors (pain originators). In reality though this approach often leads to a “new pain” and eventually nonc
ompliance due to the material being rigid with minimal stress absorption. We utilize high definition 3D scanning to capture every unique aspect of your feet. Our printed material varies the geometric infrastructure coupled with density specific zones based on anatomical features, osteokinematics of the ankle/foot complex, and weight of an individual. Our thought process looks at more than just restricting certain kinematics of the foot. Force incurred during motion has to be absorbed or dispersed appropriately, otherwise you will develop hot spots in other locations due a culmination response. After evaluating the individual and reviewing the digital scans, we develop a specific orthotic to promote stability and comfort while allowing for the available mechanics of the foot to be utilized rather than limited.
