🍦💗 Nothing beats an ice cream bar on a summer afternoon!

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful friends at Good Shepherd Hospice for treating our residents to an afternoon full of ice cream, toppings, smiles, and plenty of sweet moments! 🍨✨ We are so grateful for community partners who continue to show up, love on our residents, and make ordinary days extra special.

❤️ THIS is what makes our community partners FAMILY. ❤️

Yesterday, Julie Western with Comforting Hands Hospice was in the building when she happened to pass by Mr. Ray. He was visibly upset over the passing of Dolly Parton, someone who clearly held a special place in his heart. Julie stopped, sat with him, and offered some much-needed comfort.

But she didn’t stop there. 🥹

Today, Julie came back with a Dolly Parton hat just for Mr. Ray. No big production—just one thoughtful gesture to let him know that she heard him, remembered him, and cared.

To say he was grateful would be an understatement. The joy on his face was unmatched. ❤️

These are the moments that remind us that caring for someone is about so much more than meeting their physical needs. It’s about noticing. Listening. Remembering. And sometimes, something as simple as a hat can completely change someone’s day.

Julie, thank you for seeing Mr. Ray yesterday and remembering him today. This is why our community partners become part of our Bell Avenue family. We are incredibly grateful for you and the kindness you showed him. 💗
