California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is dedicated to building a pipeline of future healthcare leaders through our Succession Management Program (SMP). Our SMP equips employees for critical leadership roles using personalized development plans with targeted training, mentorship, and leadership competencies.
Meet one of our Information Technology Services Division executive leaders, Rohit Chaurasia, Deputy Director of Technology, Governance, & Support Services (TGSS). Rohit’s CCHCS career began in 2016 as a Project Manager Consultant. Following a series of successful project deliveries, he transitioned into state service as a full-time Information Technology (IT) Specialist. Over the years, he has advanced steadily through the ranks by leading diverse IT and non-IT initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Culminating his extensive project and organizational experience, Rohit was appointed Deputy Director of TGSS in 2022, the very program area where his CCHCS journey began.
When asked about leadership development opportunities at CCHCS, Rohit’s answer was simple: “Great organizations don’t leave leadership to chance. I see our SMP as a critical investment in our future.
