Kemper Drug and Gift closed in downtown Elk River a few months ago but a piece of the pharmacy’s history lives on! We’re sharing the story of the familiar sign on Highway 10 tomorrow morning on KARE 11 around 6:40 a.m.

Also, it was SO cool to cover a story in my hometown!! 😃

It has been an honor and a privilege serving our community, but the time has come to turn the page to a new chapter.

We are pleased to announce that we have chosen to entrust your pharmacy records to Walgreens, after we close on Wednesday 3/15. All prescription records will be transferred automatically, and available for you at Walgreens beginning at 8am on Thursday. Until then, you can continue to fill your prescriptions with us as usual.

We thank you for allowing us to care for you, through the generations.

While it is hard to say goodbye at the end of an era, we hope you'll join us in celebrating the good times, and looking forward to a bright future. We hope to see you over at Walgreens.
