All-or-nothing thinking is usually misdiagnosed as poor willpower, making the real problem 10x worse 🫠
Here’s the thing - you’re not falling back into the same self-sabotaging behaviors every time because you have terrible discipline (despite what the gym bros and wellness girlies tell you).
👉 You keep self-sabotaging because you’re actually expecting TOO MUCH of yourself.
You’re striving for the perfect diet, the locked-in workout routine, and the self-discipline that would put the freakin’ Dalai Lama to shame 💪
The problem is that you’re human. And setbacks will, without a doubt, happen on the reg.
🧠 Your brain has been conditioned to ONLY accept perfection, so when you do have setbacks, it feels like a total failure. Like it was all for nothing. Like you might as well just give up.
You self-sabotage. Feel insanely guilty. Decide to jump back on the horse and REALLY be perfect this time!
Aaand the process repeats over and over because it was never sustainable in the first place 🔄
⚠️ Breaking this cycle starts with bringing awareness to the all-or-nothing thinking - you need to stop blaming yourself for having poor discipline, and start recognizing that you’re human, and will never be perfect ⚠️
If you find yourself getting stuck here, I have a great ebook with more guidance on moving past obstacles and overcoming all-or-nothing thinking so you can finally reach your long-term goals!
Just comment “book 1” and I’ll send ya the link 🫶
