Expecting a Call Back From Your Healthcare Provider?
Many smartphones now have settings that automatically silence or block calls from numbers that aren’t saved in your contacts. While these features can help reduce unwanted calls, they can also prevent an important healthcare call from reaching you.
If you’ve contacted an after-hours answering service and are waiting for a provider to return your call, please temporarily turn off settings that block or silence unknown callers.
A few tips while you wait:
- 📞 Keep your phone nearby and make sure the ringer is on.
- 📱 Temporarily allow calls from unknown or unsaved numbers.
- 📬 Make sure your voicemail is set up and has space for new messages.
- 🔄 If you see a missed call or receive a voicemail from your provider, return the call promptly.
Your provider may be trying to reach you from a number you don’t recognize.
A small change to your phone settings can help us connect with you more quickly when you need us. 💚
