Todd County Bale Trail display up! And we are officially in it this year!

Come get your "hayring" evaluation in our "hayring" booth!

Set up for you to be able to put some head phones on and take a snap shot within the booth next to the scarecrow patient, or sit next to the scarecrow clinician to help determine the hearing test results!

The displays title is "Hay Today! Hear Every Day!"

How were you introduced to Dolly Parton?

For me, I was a child. I'm sure I had heard some of her songs, but I had no idea who she was, or even her name.

The moment that I met her, I remember vividly, it was christmas time. It wasn't in person, or in a way I could actually interact with her, but it was still how I was introduced to her. And it was the earliest Christmas movie I actually recall watching.

It was called "A Smoky Mountain Christmas."

Just got off the training with Phonak about their brand-new EON hearing aids.

Here’s the scoop… there’s some pretty exciting stuff here! 🦻

They are saying that the hearing aids are noticeably smaller, which is pretty crazy. They’re already so small! 😂

That being said, the smaller size doesn’t mean there’s less. In fact, these are packed with a LOT of new technology!

A few other things that really stood out to me:

• Up to 50% better speech understanding
• Up to 37% less listening effort
• Two active Bluetooth connections at the same time
• Bluetooth Classic, Roger, and Auracast connectivity
• Tap Control
• And rechargeable ITE hearing aids are now available with 90-level technology!

They’ve also added new cybersecurity protections to help prevent unauthorized access. During the training, they even talked about how vulnerabilities in medical devices have become a real concern. We live in a day and age where you can’t be too safe, and I’m very happy they thought about this!

Something else I thought was fantastic: Auracast is expected to come to some of Phonak’s existing products next year through a firmware update.

So you may not necessarily need a brand-new hearing aid to take advantage of that technology.

I’m still learning about everything EON has to offer, but I’m really excited about it.

The technology keeps getting better, and I’m anxious to see what it means for the people I get to help hear better every day.

Yesterday the news dropped!

Phonak released a new hearing aid they're calling the EON. 🦻

I'm already hearing some exciting things about it from other hearing professionals who have had a chance to, in a way, Beta test it.

Today I get to participate in some training on it online!

Next week, Phonak has invited me to a special dinner in Nashville to experience, learn more, and celebrate its release!

Looking forward to discovering more!

Jokes on you! Farley’s Place patients wear hearing aids! 😆

If you’ve ever been to the clinic, you’ve probably seen the metal piece on my desk that says, “Tell me a dad joke.”

As a hearing health practitioner, and a father, I feel personally obligated to share this one!

I’ve heard dad jokes... But this, my friends, takes the ten out of ten-itus to ensure it gets the highest rating.👂〰️🔟

And now, perhaps some of you are reading it as tinnitus instead of tinnitus for the first time (If you know, you know). 🤣

This is the basic concept of how BAHA's, the ADHEAR, and other like hearing technology started.

It started with a metal sheet that was placed inbetween clinched teeth. Very crude. It has now evolved into the comon bone conduction headphones.

There are even fun things like this, and bone conduction toothbrushes that play music while you are brushing your teeth!

Bone conduction technology isn't just fun, but has helped individuals with conduction problems with their hearing to be able to hear again!
