A Mindset of Gratitude, Grace & Impermanence ✨
Words cannot fully express how delighted and grateful I am to experience another solar return. Nearly seven decades of life have given me countless reasons to pause, reflect, and give thanks. The Creator has shown me grace, mercy, and unmerited favor in so many areas of my life, and I am deeply grateful for the journey—and for the way it continues to unfold.
Over the past 16 months, I have been listening to Buddhist teachings daily. It is fascinating how, sometimes, what you need finds you when you aren't even looking for it.
Last fall, I stumbled upon a Buddhist teaching on YouTube. I wasn't searching for anything in particular, but something about the simplicity and common-sense wisdom of the teachings immediately resonated with me. Since then, I have listened to these teachings morning and evening, and they have become part of my daily practice.
One teaching that has profoundly impacted me is Impermanence—the understanding that everything is continually changing.

Embracing impermanence has given me a different perspective on life and another level of peace, particularly during this season of transformative change in our country and throughout the world.
After almost seven decades of living, I am learning to embrace impermanence not as something to fear, but as an invitation to surrender, flow, and trust the journey.
I think of it as surfing the waves of life—rather than fighting against them, learning to move with them with quiet grace. There is freedom in recognizing that change is inevitable while discovering that there can still be stability within ourselves.
2026 has also brought me the gift of authentic Sisterhood. I have been blessed to cultivate meaningful relationships with like-minded women, and honestly, it feels like a dream come true. These relationships have nourished my spirit and reminded me of the beauty of community, connection, and shared purpose.
As I enter another solar year, I am excited about the journey ahead. I carry with me greater wisdom, deeper knowledge, and a renewed understanding of how to navigate life with resilience, tenacity, grace, and peace.
I give thanks to the ancestors who paved the way before me, to those who continue to guide my path, and to the Creator for allowing me to experience another chapter of this beautiful journey.
I don't know exactly what this next solar year will bring—and that's okay.
I am learning to embrace the mystery, ride the waves, remain present, and trust the unfolding.
Another year. Another chapter. Another opportunity to evolve.
