📢 Important USCIS Update Effective July 10, 2026
If you're filing an immigration application with USCIS on or after July 10, 2026, double-check your signatures before submitting your forms.
Under a new USCIS rule:
✅ Forms must contain a valid handwritten (wet ink) signature or another signature method specifically accepted by USCIS for that filing.
❌ Copy-and-pasted, auto-generated, typed, or otherwise invalid signatures may result in your application being denied, even if USCIS initially accepts it.
A denial could mean:
• Loss of your filing fees
• Delays in your immigration case
• Having to submit a new application
For our patients: This change does not affect our immigration medical exams. St. Louis Immigration Exams has always required original wet ink signatures on Form I-693, so our process remains the same and is already consistent with USCIS requirements.
