Men’s health is more than just prescribing testosterone.
As a provider certified in male health, I look deeper at the why behind symptoms : energy, libido, mood, muscle loss, brain fog, weight gain, and performance all deserve a personalized, medically guided approach.
Recently, I saw a patient who came to me already on pellet therapy. His testosterone levels were completely off the chart, estradiol was significantly elevated, and his hematocrit had started trending upward, yet there was no clear plan to reassess or adjust treatment despite ongoing side effects.
This is exactly why I personally do not offer pellet therapy.
Hormones are powerful. Once pellets are inserted, they cannot simply be lowered or stopped if the dose is too aggressive or the patient begins reacting poorly.
Testosterone optimization should never be “one-size-fits-all” or based on trends.
It requires:
• Comprehensive lab monitoring
• Understanding estrogen metabolism
• Monitoring hematocrit and cardiovascular risk
• Looking at sleep, stress, inflammation, gut health, and metabolic health
• Individualized dosing and follow-up
Throwing testosterone at symptoms without a full strategy can create new problems instead of solving the root issue.
My goal is not just “higher testosterone.”
My goal is healthier men with safe, effective, evidence-based care that actually improves quality of life.
