Here’s why I didn’t need a lip flip — and why more tox isn’t always better.

My lips are already naturally full, so volume wasn’t the issue. The issue was how the muscle around my mouth was moving.

When I had tox placed here, it relaxed the muscle a little too much. Instead of giving me more lip show, you can actually see how my upper lip is being pushed downward — especially when I smile and talk.

A traditional lip flip works by relaxing specific fibers of the orbicularis oris so the upper lip can roll slightly outward. But if you already have good lip show or naturally full lips, you may not need that extra relaxation.

This is why tox placement and dosing around the mouth have to be individualized. We’re not just treating an area — we’re treating your anatomy and your muscle movement.

And in my case? My lips were basically like, ‘Girl, leave us alone.’ 😂
