May-Yoga and The MIND
Dear LLWS Community,
I have a little story to share about this program...
Back in December I was evaluating a lot of things, including depth of this program and what to do with it. I decided to sit with it for a while.
So, now I'm in India at Indimasi, and I literally walk into guruji for the first time, in person. I was walking up the hill and he was just starting to walk down. We stopped and had a spontaneous chat about all sorts of things. Then he says...Well, without merging the mind with the heart, we can't really come to know ourselves, evolve or grow. I said...WHAT DID YOU SAY????
So, he repeats himself, with a questionable look on his face.
I say, GO ON. He's looking at me half laughing.
In a nutshell, he described the entire vision of Yoga and The MIND. I STOOD THERE WITH MY MOUTH OPEN AND JUST STARED AT HIM.
He asks me, "So you have heard about this concept before, Yes?"
I say...YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON I HAVE EVER HEARD TALK ABOUT THIS. He has this funny look on his face and he's waiting for me to say something. I'm kind of speechless, but I say, "I've been teaching a program that is exactly what you are talking about, and I just can't believe we are having this conversation." He says, "Ok then you know what to do." That was the end of that conversation.
So, he walks away, and I was late for my treatment because of this conversation. I'm on a treatment table, and all I'm saying to myself is...WHAT THE FLIP....
From that moment on, I understood that this program is something unique and special. It will be for the people who are ready for it.
So, I'm processing all of this, and one of the Dr.'s at Indimasi asks me why I'm not teaching Ayurveda in the US. Once again, I got hit between the eyes with a question. My reply was, "It's the staple of my practice." She says, but Why aren't you teaching it. I say...I DON'T KNOW.
So, now I'm in Ganeshpuri and I'm in a tuk tuk and I randomly get dropped off at the bookstore across from Muktananda's ashram. I went into the book store, and decided to cross over to the ashram. Well, I forogt that the Samadhi Shrine there is only open on the weekends, so I walk in. It was a Sunday. It was magical...I will stop here for now....
I'm sure you are wondering where I'm going with all of this...
So am I...LOL!!
However, all I can say with full confidence that I have a deep understanding that Yoga, Ayurveda and Ta**ra are not separate. It all needs to be broken down into tangible teachings.
This may be the beginning of teaching my CONSCIOUS CONNECTION program in a new way. I taught this at a festival in AZ, and a few other places. But something is brewing here...
Yoga and The MIND is a beautiful learning tool for anyone looking for a deeper understanding of how the mind plays a role in our health and our relationships. When we understand why we do what we do, it brings so much peace and clarity to our lives. There are no prerequisites to join.
All that's needed is an open mind and a curious heart. This is an important component to CONSCIOUS CONNECTION.
We will be talking about Integration vs. compartmentalization.
