I need Brandi Carlile to know that I would stay out as late as needed, even on a Tuesday, to see that show a second time ♥️ What started as true serendipity on what should have been Alex’s 44th birthday, ended up being a cleanse for my tired mama soul. Parenting young kids in your 40s is a trip and I didn’t realize how badly I needed someone to crystallize this stage of my life. The stoic first born that stole my heart and the feral second child that turned my life upside down - the bitter and the sweet. The love and the ache. Thank you Brandi and the band for an amazing night that I won’t soon forget; in fact, last night will buoy me for many years to come
