The machine is only as good as the fit.
Before your first rep on the MedX Lateral Raise, your Live Oak trainer makes one important adjusmenr: aligning your shoulder joint with the machine's axis of rotation. This small setup step ensures the right muscles are doing the work. When your body is properly positioned, the load goes exactly where it is supposed to go... in the excercise, that's straight to the deltoid, the primary muscle of the shoulder.
Proper fit plus slow movement is what makes this exercise so effective. We handle the setup. Your job is to move slowly and give your best effort. That is all it takes. You are stronger than you think.
