Concussion rehab has come a long way! While the recommendation used to be to rest in a dark room until you feel better, we now know that recovery is optimized with sub-symptom threshold activity after 24-48 hours of symptom-limited rest. If symptoms persist around 10 days, physical therapy helps reduce the incidence of chronic symptoms and post-concussion syndrome.
