Optimal Health Solutions Optimal Health Solutions is a holistic physical therapy practice that focuses on the individual as a whole, instead of by body part.

This allows an individual to live painfree, that lasts. At Optimal Health Solutions, we believe in whole body wellness, with our unique holistic approach. Our services focus on rebuilding the physical foundation and the mental foundation of your health. Traditional Western medicine treats the body as if each part is separate or unique. At Optimal Health, we believe each part is connected, creating a highly functioning, complex system that does not want to fail. Dr. Stacy Oliveira received her Doctorate in Physical therapy in 2016 from American International College. She founded Optimal Health Solutions with a focus on identifying the body’s underlying causes of pain and dysfunction. Her unique and intuitive methods of treatment reject the “quick fix” that commonly has us experiencing cycles of pain that so commonly force us to live in chronic pain. Movement is one of the most powerful tools we have for building a relationship with our bodies. 💙

But movement doesn’t have to mean pushing harder, exercising longer, or constantly trying to improve something.

Sometimes movement is strengthening.

Sometimes it’s rehabilitation.

Sometimes it’s a walk that clears your head.

Sometimes it’s learning to breathe differently.

Sometimes it’s doing something simply because it brings you joy.

At Optimal Health Solutions, movement is used as a tool to help people develop strength, mobility, body awareness, confidence, and greater capacity to participate in the lives they want to live.

Because the ultimate goal was never perfect movement.

It’s freedom.

Move in ways that challenge you.
Move in ways that restore you.
And whenever possible, move in ways that remind you how good it feels to be alive.

Move Freely. Live Fully. 💙

Sometimes a tagline becomes something you actually get to live.

My relationship with dance began in an unexpected place.

In September 2022, I traveled to Colombia and experienced its salsa community, without anyone speaking a word of English 😳. I came home wanting to keep that feeling—the music, movement, connection, and joy—and found an opportunity to continue learning right here in Enfield through Ballroom Fever.

And then life kept evolving.

I danced through pregnancy.

I stepped away during a season when motherhood needed more of me.

And when I was ready, I came back.

Earlier this year, I spent February through April training for Dancing with Heart, combining something I loved with another value deeply woven into Optimal Health Solutions: giving back. That experience supported Shriners Children’s and reminded me how much I had missed challenging myself through movement.

So I kept going.

And this week, that journey brought me to Stamford, Connecticut, for my Pro-Am competition debut at the Constitution State Dancesport Championships. 💃🏻

From discovering salsa in Colombia → dancing through pregnancy → taking a motherhood hiatus → returning for a charitable performance → stepping onto the competition floor.

None of it happened in a straight line.

And maybe that’s the point.

At Optimal Health Solutions, I talk constantly about movement as something much bigger than exercise. Movement gives us opportunities to explore, connect, regulate, challenge ourselves, build confidence, and participate more fully in our own lives.

Our bodies aren’t meant simply to get us through the day.

They’re meant to help us experience our lives.

Your version doesn’t have to involve rhinestones, stage makeup, or ballroom heels. 😉 It might be hiking, gardening, playing with your children, returning to a sport you once loved, traveling, or simply moving through your day with less fear and more freedom.

The goal isn’t perfection.

It’s building a body—and a life—that gives you the freedom to keep saying yes to the things that make you feel alive.

Today, my “yes” happens to look like this. 💙💃🏻

Joy is part of the treatment plan. 💙

We spend a lot of time talking about what we need to reduce in order to feel better.

Less stress.
Less pain.
Less overwhelm.
Less pressure.

But healing isn’t only about decreasing the bad.

Sometimes, we need to intentionally add more good.

More laughter.
More movement.
More safe connection.
More curiosity.
More novelty.
More experiences that remind our nervous system:

Life isn’t only something I have to survive. It’s something I get to enjoy.

Our brains and bodies are constantly learning from what we repeatedly experience. If life has been particularly heavy, we don’t have to pretend the difficult things aren’t happening. We can acknowledge them and deliberately create experiences that give our system something different to hold alongside them.

That might look like dancing.
Trying something new.
Calling someone who makes you laugh.
Taking the trip.
Walking outside.
Playing with your kids.
Joining a community.
Doing something completely unnecessary simply because it makes you feel alive.

The goal isn’t toxic positivity.

It’s not “ignore the bad.”

It’s “make sure the bad isn’t the only thing your nervous system gets to experience.”

Sometimes healing means reducing what hurts.

And sometimes it means building so much safety, connection, meaning, play, and joy around the hard things that they no longer get to occupy the entire landscape.

Choose joy on purpose.

Not because life is always easy.

Because even when it isn’t, you deserve experiences that remind you how good it can feel to be here. 💙

Optimal Health Solutions was built from clinical knowledge.
But its foundation was shaped by life. 💙

When I became a physical therapist, I understood the body through movement, anatomy, biomechanics, pain, and function.

Then life gave me an education no textbook ever could.

I’ve experienced seasons of building and seasons of rebuilding. Seasons when my body was asking for help long before I understood its language. Seasons of motherhood that stretched me beyond what I believed I could carry. Seasons of grief, uncertainty, advocacy, entrepreneurship, community service—and ultimately, tremendous personal growth.

Each chapter changed the clinician standing before you today.

I learned that sometimes the person who appears incredibly strong has simply become incredibly skilled at overriding their own signals.

I learned that healing cannot always be separated into neat categories of physical and emotional.

I learned that the nervous system matters.

That rest is productive.

That boundaries can be loving.

That pacing is not weakness.

That movement can reconnect us with ourselves.

That community can become medicine.

And perhaps most importantly, I learned that health is not about creating a life where nothing difficult happens.

It’s about developing the tools, support, awareness, and capacity to move through difficult seasons without continually abandoning yourself along the way.

That understanding became part of the foundation of Optimal Health Solutions.

Today, when someone walks through my door, I don’t see a shoulder, a back, a diagnosis, or a collection of symptoms.

I see a whole human being.

I want to know how you move.
How you breathe.
What your body has adapted to.
Where you’re compensating.
What your nervous system may be communicating.
What matters to you.
And what your version of living fully actually looks like.

Because optimal health was never meant to mean perfect health.

Self-forgiveness is a vital part of healing. 💙

Sometimes the hardest person to extend compassion toward is the person you used to be.

We look backward with everything we know now and wonder:

How did I not see it?
Why didn’t I leave sooner?
Why did I tolerate that?
Why didn’t I make a different decision?
I should have known better.

But there’s an important piece missing from those questions:

You are evaluating your past self with tools that version of you hadn’t developed yet.

The boundaries you have now may have taken years to learn.

The confidence you carry now may have been built through experiences that hadn’t happened yet.

The nervous-system awareness, support system, perspective, resources, and ability to recognize patterns that seem obvious today may simply not have existed then.

Healing asks us to take responsibility for our choices without sentencing ourselves to a lifetime of shame for them.

Because shame can create its own negative loop:

We remember → we judge ourselves → we feel guilt → we replay the decision → we judge ourselves again.

And eventually, reflecting on the past stops teaching us anything and simply keeps us living there.

Self-forgiveness helps close that loop.

It sounds more like:

I understand why I made that decision then.
I can acknowledge what it cost me.
I can learn from it.
I can choose differently now.
And I don’t have to hate who I was in order to become who I am.

That isn’t avoiding accountability.

That’s growth.

So perhaps there is a version of yourself you’ve been carrying resentment toward for far too long.

Thank them for surviving with the tools they had.

Take the lesson.

Put down the shame.

And let the person you’ve become make the next decision. 💙

You did the best you could with what you knew then.
Now you know more. So you get to choose differently.

Sometimes healing looks like getting on the train. 🚂❤️

Yesterday I had the opportunity to join members of the Kiwanis community and our local Senior Center for a beautiful excursion to New Hampshire—complete with a scenic railway ride, a turkey dinner, plenty of laughter, and a little bit of novelty.

And somewhere between the mountains, conversations, ridiculous photo opportunities 😂, and sharing a meal together, I found myself thinking about just how important community and curiosity have become in my own life.

I’m currently walking through the second hardest season I’ve experienced as a mother.

There are pieces of that journey that belong privately to my family. But one lesson from it absolutely belongs here:

Who you surround yourself with matters.

Finding people who want to serve, contribute, connect, and leave their community a little better than they found it has been an unexpected lifeline for me.

I’ve been finding my village through philanthropy. ❤️

And I’ve also been intentionally protecting two things that difficult seasons can quietly take away from us:

Curiosity and novelty.

When life becomes heavy, our world can become very small. We repeat the same thoughts, anticipate the same stressors, and move through the same routines.

Novel experiences invite us to look outward again.

A new place.
A different conversation.
Meeting someone you wouldn’t normally meet.
Trying something simply because you’ve never done it before.
Laughing with people whose paths somehow crossed yours.

None of those things erase grief or hardship.

They simply remind the nervous system that hard isn’t the only thing happening.

There is still beauty to notice.
There are still people to meet.
There is still laughter available.
There are still communities waiting to welcome us.
And there are still parts of ourselves we haven’t met yet.

Yesterday, that looked like a train ride through New Hampshire with a wonderful group of humans and a turkey dinner served aboard the railway. 🚂🍂🦃

Big goals require a regulated you. 💙

We often talk about ambition as if the answer is simply to work harder, stay later, push through, and keep going.

But sustainable impact requires something different.

It requires learning how to work hard without abandoning yourself in the process.

The last few weeks at Optimal Health Solutions have been filled with some incredibly meaningful work—relaunching our Educational Shoe Drive, connecting with local organizations, supporting families, growing community partnerships, caring for patients, and continuing to build a vision much larger than any one event.

And I’ve been reminded of something important along the way:

Purpose can energize you—and still exhaust you.

Even beautiful things require energy.

That’s why regulation has to exist alongside ambition.

Sometimes that looks like movement.
Sometimes it’s diaphragmatic breathing.
Sometimes it’s a sauna, nature, laughter, or time with people who fill your cup.
Sometimes it’s saying no to one more thing—even when you’re capable of doing it.

And sometimes it’s simply recognizing:

I’m tired today. My body needs something from me too.

There is tremendous power in learning your own rhythms well enough to know when to push, when to pace, and when to recover.

Because the goal isn’t to accomplish something meaningful and collapse afterward.

The goal is to build a nervous system, body, community, and life capable of sustaining the meaningful things you’re creating.

Take care of the human carrying the vision. 🤍

A healthier you creates a stronger community.

Take care. Keep going.

Move Freely. Live Fully.

👟❤️ THE SHOE LADY’S CHAOTIC MOTHERHOOD COMEBACK — 2026

When I decided to bring the Optimal Health Solutions Educational Shoe Drive back after taking a motherhood hiatus, I knew this year would be different.

What I didn’t know was just how much our community would show up.

We had an incredibly short turnaround to find sponsors, connect with families, organize shoes, and somehow pull this little comeback together. And—as life tends to remind me—our original plan did not exactly go according to plan. 😂

So we adapted.

After our first distribution day on August 29, we shifted to a voucher system and began working directly with community organizations to connect the sneakers we had funded with the children who needed them.

And that pivot has been beautiful.

Between our distribution days on 8/29 and 9/4, 25 children have now gone home with brand-new, properly fitted sneakers. 👟🥹

Even more incredible: our community has currently sponsored 48 children.

Forty-eight.

What started as a very quick, slightly chaotic soft relaunch has become something much bigger because other people believed in the mission enough to help carry it.

I cannot adequately thank ERfC, Enfield Social Services, KITE, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, our sponsors, volunteers, families, and every single person who donated, shared a post, made a connection, helped entertain kiddos, moved boxes, or simply said, “How can I help?”

And we’re not finished yet. ❤️

LJ from Social Services is now helping coordinate an additional sneaker-fitting opportunity for Spanish-speaking families in our community. Date: TBD—because apparently TBD is becoming a recurring theme around here. 😂

This was always intended to be a small comeback year after becoming a mom.

Instead, it has reminded me exactly why I started this initiative.

A sneaker is the tangible gift. But the mission has always been bigger: proper fit, education, healthy movement, access, dignity, and community. Continued in comments…
