My best friend Jenny Lai was in the middle of her cancer battle last year.

And although we were thousands of miles apart, somehow, she still found a way to show up for my first-ever half-marathon.

Constant check-ins beforehand. Positive prayers during. Video call afterwards.

Despite the distance, I felt her energy and presence the whole race.

Giving when she had every reason to take.

And that moment broke me open in the best way!

That's why on November 1st 2026, I'm running my first-ever TCS New York City Marathon with the non-profit Imerman Angels, inspired by Jenny.

They pair cancer fighters and survivors with a mentor who has walked the exact same road.

It is 100% free with 100% human-to-human connection.

No one should have to face cancer alone.

Jenny showed up for me when she had every reason not to.

And while I showed up for her the best I could...

There are still people out there right now with no one in their corner facing one of the hardest challenges of their life.

✅ Cell division: arrested, cells couldn’t replicate
✅ Liver metastasis in animals: down 70–75%
✅ In some measures: anti-cancer effects comparable to standard chemotherapy agents
✅ Potential mechanism found: cancer growth protein FOXM1 dropped significantly
✅ Healthy pancreatic cells unaffected

✅ 1st official marathon done! Got my goal of running a sub 3:20 time (officially a 7:29/mile pace)

Nothing quite tests your mind-body-spirit connection than see a tunnel of light right before the finish line 😂

So grateful to God and all of my friends, Pranic Healing community, and my run club !
