Why do so many men feel like they have to have everything figured out?

Many men learn that their value comes from being capable, confident, productive and in control. Asking for help can feel like failure—even when carrying everything alone is no longer working.

Strength isn’t having every answer. Sometimes, it’s being willing to look inward and grow alongside other men.

**Personal Power for Men**
is a six-week, in-person experience focused on greater clarity, emotional steadiness and stronger relationships.

Why create a group specifically for men?

Many men have friends, coworkers, and people who depend on them—but few places where they can put down the performance, speak honestly, and be challenged with respect.

Jeremy created Personal Power to give men that kind of space.

Watch him explain what led him to this work and what he hopes men will experience in the group.

Six weeks in Englewood, Colorado, beginning September 23.

When a woman asks her partner for more affection, she may be trying to create connection.

But what if he hears something entirely different?

Sometimes, a simple request lands as: “You’re failing,” “You aren’t enough,” or “You can’t make me happy.” Shame and defensiveness take over, and the opportunity for connection disappears.

In this video, Jeremy explores why this happens—and what men can learn to do differently.

Personal Power is a six-week, in-person group for Denver-area men who want greater steadiness, self-awareness, and connection in their relationships and lives.

Before asking, “What’s wrong with me?” try asking:

“What might my body be protecting me from?”

That question creates space for curiosity instead of shame.

You may not have chosen the response, but you can begin to understand it.

Understanding creates choice.

Choice builds trust.

And slowly, gently, you begin to come home to yourself.

Having a hard day does not erase your healing.

Being triggered does not mean you’re back at the beginning.

Needing support does not make you weak.

Sometimes growth looks like responding differently.

Sometimes it looks like recognizing what’s happening sooner.

Sometimes it simply looks like offering yourself compassion while you move through it.

You haven’t lost your progress.

You’re human—and healing is rarely a straight line.

Trauma can make you feel like you’re the only person who struggles with things that seem easy for everyone else.

Resting without guilt.
Trusting your own decisions.
Letting someone get close.
Saying no without explaining.
Feeling safe when nothing is wrong.

You are not the only one.

T Crew is being created as a place where we don’t have to hide these parts of our experience—a place for connection, support, hope, and belonging.

A gentle practice for moments when your body feels far away:

Place your feet on the ground. Wiggle your toes.

Notice your body. What feels tight, numb, good, tense.

Breath into it.

Feel what is supporting your body—the floor, a chair, a wall.

Then ask yourself:

“What would help me feel 2% safer right now?”

Not completely safe.
Not instantly calm.
Just 2% safer.

Healing can happen in small moments of returning.

Back to your body.
Back to your knowing.
Back to you.

Maybe you’re not “too sensitive.”

Maybe your body learned to notice the smallest change in someone’s voice because, once upon a time, noticing kept you safe.

Maybe you’re not overreacting.

Maybe your nervous system is responding to something it remembers—even when your mind knows this moment is different.

Your responses make sense in the context of what you’ve lived through.

Healing doesn’t begin with judging those responses. It begins with understanding them.

You are not broken. You adapted.

And you deserve support as you find your way back to yourself.

Save this for the days when self-judgment gets loud.

Are you resting ...or just shutting down?

❌ Scrolling for hours

❌ Avoiding tasks and feeling heavy about it

❌ Isolating yourself and feeling numb or disconnected

Those can all be signs that your nervous system is shutting down.

SHUTTING DOWN IS NOT LAZY

It's your body's way of saying...

I don't feel safe.
I'm overwhelmed.
I need rest.
I feel lonely.
I feel scared.

Resting actually looks like:

⭐ Intentionally enjoying a book, movie, bath, or quiet time without your phone.
⭐ Taking a walk, cooking a healthy meal, or taking a nap.
⭐ Putting on music and dancing.
⭐ Journaling.
⭐ Speaking to yourself with kindness instead of criticism.

The goal isn't to judge yourself for shutting down.

The goal is to notice what your nervous system is trying to tell you and respond with care.

Providing takes effort. So does presence.

Many men know how to do one very well.

Over time, responsibility can quietly take up most of the space.

And what’s important doesn’t always disappear—it just becomes harder to feel.

Learning to shift, even briefly, can help you reconnect with what’s already there.
