Please join us in welcoming our new DON!!

We are so excited to have Cassandra Long back acting as our DON. Sandra has 30 years of experience in nursing and has been with Garland Road for many of those years. Initially, Sandra came out of retirement to serve as our Infection Control Nurse, but missed her position as DON. So, when Garland Road needed her again, she was there for us! Not only does Sandra bring decades of experience to the role, but also quality leadership and a team-oriented mindset. Sandra's leadership is so outstanding that due to jer efforts, our building won the bronze National Quality Award, for our commitment to quality care in 2017.

For Sandra, Nursing is not just another job. It is truly a calling. Her favorite thing about nursing is caring for her residents while bringing a smile to their face. She is indeed one of the most compassionate people and we feel honored to have her here at Garland Road Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. We are excited for our residents and staff because she is the advocate and leader that we need. We are excited to have Sandra fulfill her call to nursing here at Garland Road.
