Handstand training is not glamorous. It’s continuous practice, hitting, advancing skills, and falling/failure.

I hope if nothing else it makes you smile watching.

As a nutrition coach, I am passionate about fitness too. I don’t just post AI memes and infographics, I think it’s impt people see workout ethics and commitments.

My work schedule is pretty basic, I do CrossFit Class at 717 4 days a week, Calisthenic Training 5 days a week, and a mobility day where I may hit a specific body part with lifting that I feel needs it.

How you look is how you eat.

Bring Pretty to the gym with

Ladies, these easy to apply gel wraps are practical for the gym but also make any outfit pop. People notice your nails, and Sassy Saints makes them stand out.

They won’t break or get in the way of your weights, but are also super easy to apply. Just match the size, prime with a dryer, and then clip to fit. Hint, best done at night right before bed so the adhesive can fully bond while you sleep.

Mine last for two to three weeks, plus because it’s way cheaper than a manicure. You can easily change them out to match a special occasion dress too.

What could happen if you finally committed to yourself for 12 weeks?

Taking the first step is hard, but once you do, the changes will astound you. And you can create a lot of change in 12 weeks.

Once the momentum is there, it builds. Small daily changes become habits.

You feel better
Have more energy
Clothes fit better
You like what you see in the mirror
You feel proud of you

A lot can happen in 12 weeks, and that is the launching pad to create real lasting change.

We often put ourselves on the back burner, over committing to everyone else. You are worth your time and commitment too, it is one change you’ll never regret.

School will be back in session soon, for many that routine is a great time to start ahead of the holidays instead of putting it of like you did last year to 2027 which came and went.

Click Follow and type “Ready” if you’re finally to commit to yourself, your health, your body, your future.

Do you have a joint replacement on the horizon?

I had a bilateral hip replacement 5 years ago!!!

👉Getting a metal sensitivity test ahead of any replacement or implant is a good idea, before it’s surgically implanted. People have all kinds of allergies and sensitivities. This at home kit from Sensiband Metal Allergy makes it easy to test yourself ahead of your procedure.

🔑 Go in with peace of mind with a simple wristband you wear for a few days to see if you’re reactive. This kit tests 4 metals commonly used, like titanium that my hip joints are constructed of, as well as nickel, carmonium, and cobalt. Dental implant test kits are also available.

👉Don’t gamble with your own health.

Transformation Tuesday.

Check out my fabulous client Azlynn 🎊🎊🧡🧡👏

Azlynn, age 50, came to see me in April via video in Florida wanted a refinement and more leaning out. You may remember Azlynn in 2024 lost weight and inches with GFit. Sometimes people veer a little off course and an accountability partner can make all the difference, I’ve had quite a few clients do that, and also expand their nutritional understanding.

Azlynn is a wife, a mom, and has a busy full time career as an oncology nurse. This go around was all about continuing to lean out and get back on the macro course, and truly understand maintenance macros long term. To that end Azlynn also enlisted the help of a trainer to couple with my nutrition plan. Working with a trainer one on one plus keeping up her nutrition focus she got next level results. And that’s where Azlynn wants to take herself. You can check out, Wes Minnich. I’ve known Wes for a while now and he’s one of the most passionate and knowledgeable trainers I’ve met.

https://www.facebook.com/share/1GEYWZZmv6/?mibextid=wwXIfr

This lean out took her down 12 lbs and also 9 inches total, getting her belly to a lean position. She’s working hard to be the best version she wants of herself.

Azlynn says, “Gretchen, thank you for transforming how I think about food and pairing it with movement and strength. You didn’t just teach me macros or share recipes, though that information was so valuable and essential, you showed me how to build a sustainable diet that fits into real life and reinforced the importance of pairing that with physical activity. I truly believe the magic happens when both are done consistently. Recently I wanted to lean out after spending the past couple of years focused on building muscle and I found that when trying to do it on my own, I was unsure whether I was eating too much or too little, so I waffled between the two accomplishing very little. You understood exactly what my body needed to meet my goals and created a plan to get me there. You helped me correct that to lean out perfectly!

With your guidance, I’m building a healthier future because I’m learning how to eat the proper amount of food and fuel that supports my health and energy needs while still enjoying what I eat. And I know that has to be paired with strength training and daily movement.

“Discipline is freedom” is a phrase on your wall, and I truly believe it. I’ve learned to enjoy food without sabotaging my goals.

Thank you for believing in me and helping me become the healthiest version of myself. Investing in your coaching has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.

I’d also like to thank Wes at for helping me build the strength to support these goals. Pairing Gretchen’s nutrition coaching with Wes’s training made all the difference—nutrition and strength truly go hand in hand. Together, you’ve helped me build a future where I’m stronger, healthier, and prepared for the years ahead. I’m confident I won’t be a person who says, “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.”

Give Azlynn a round of applause for her success and enlisting all available tools to create the changes she wanted to see in herself. 🎊🎊

Defined abs are possible at any age.

You just need to understand how to unlock them. You don’t have to do rope climbs like me.

You do need your nutrition on point and the right workouts though.

More studies are coming out actually that traditional crunches are going for our bodies, especially our spines.

Click follow and comment “Abs” to get started on defining your own and now.

The music may feel retro but I’m loving this new move I did on the GHD.

Perfect for ab development and handstand control. Give it a try, but make sure you understand the bailout strategy…without control you can tip over.

We did traditional sit ups in our CrossFit WOD recently and my abs were so sore…I never get sore.

Switching it up and challenging your body in new ways is how I continue to make gains 💪💪

What’s your favorite GHD move?

✅You wanna get stronger as you get older? I never thought I’d be doing moves like these on my 50s.💪

🔑It all starts with how you eat. Lifting weights at the gym actually tears your muscle fibers down.

✅Eating enough is key. If your body doesn’t have enough food energy it doesn’t have enough to rebuild those muscle fibers, and you WILL NOT BUILD.

🔑 Your bodily processes will take first priority on food energy you intake.

👉Or if you lift in a deficit to lose weight, you can get stronger, build endurance so your body mostly loses fat.

👉Building muscle and getting stronger is actually science. Let GFit Nutrition break it down for you.

Street Corn 🌽 Protein Pasta Salad

📍Looking for a new fresh twist on pasta salad this summer, plus get in your protein? Well this recipe is it. Summer corn is just starting to come in.

👉👉Grilled corn in the husk is way more flavorful than boiling, this is an excellent way to prep summer corn. This salad was tasty, bold flavor perfect for any summer time picnic too. Soak the corn in water for an hour before grilling, to steam better with less charring.

👉👉Do ahead tip: I was making grilled chicken with corn for dinner, so I prepped extra to make this pasta salad for lunch for the week. Then I had all the ingredients ready to pull together. Making extra and using that for meal prep is an easy way to save time and staying track with your goals, planning is key.

Ingredients:

• 1 lb grilled Chicken or rotisserie chicken breast
• 1 ear corn 🌽
• 5 oz Barilla Protein Pasta, use chick pea pasta if you want gluten free
• 1 large Tomato 🍅 chopped
• 1 oz Fresh Cilantro

Dressing
• 1. tsp chili powder
• ¾ cup Oikos Pro Greek yogurt
• 3 Tbsp light Mayo
• 1/2 tsp cumin, paprika
• ½ tsp garlic powder
• ¼ tsp salt
• 1 TBSP Hot sauce of choice, optional
• Juice of 1 lime

✅Cook the pasta al dente, about 6 minutes. Drain and set aside.

✅Grill or Dice up your Cooked chicken Breast
Grill your corn 🌽 in the husk for about 15 to 20 min, until browned and a little charred on the outside.

✅Cut corn off the cob.

✅then make your dressing.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, mayo, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and lime juice until smooth.

Pour it over the other ingredients and stir to coat evenly.

👉You could add cotija cheese on top if you like, just add the extra fat calories to your recipe.
