Meet Megan Carson. Or actually, maybe you shouldn’t. She doesn’t really like socializing and when she tries to socialize it’s painful to see. Megan is not with us full time anymore but does our lasering. She will come most Saturdays and sometimes after school by request.

Strengths: can get prior authorizations approved on medications 99% of the time and can tell you all the benefits of ClearLift or IPL.

Weaknesses: where to begin. Went to school to get her MSN but somehow thinks she has symptoms of every diseases known to man. Says Chick Fil-A hurts her stomach but then immediately gets Chick Fil-A. Has a pocket ECG monitor but does she have history or risk factors of heart disease? Nope. And no Megan, that pain in your calf is not a DVT.

Meet Blair Chesser Nealy. And let me be really specific before you go and wave aggressively at a total stranger in a car and take their picture only to realize later on it wasn’t Blair, and now you’re likely on a police sketch. Blair is likely the first person you see and thank goodness for that because she has a constant smile on her face.

Strengths: her years of motherhood have made her a master at snacks and coordinating outfits. She takes your money, but in a sweet, fun way.

Weaknesses: per the first paragraph she is easily confused with other people and IF YOU ARE THE PERSON WHO GOT WAVED TO THE OTHER DAY I AM SO SORRY FOR THEN TAKING YOUR PHOTO I THOUGHT YOU WERE MAKING A SILLY FACE AT ME BUT NOW I KNOW IT WAS PURE FEAR.

I’m not even going to say, “meet Christa Hughes.” I know that you know that we know, you know her. She can look at the schedule and know immediately who is going to cancel or no-show. She will get you ready to see Sam or whisper sweet nothings like “don’t you dare pass out on me” when drawing your labs. 🧪

Strengths: knows everything about everyone and their mom. She knows why you need an appointment before you know why you need an appointment.

Weaknesses: her face will talk before her mouth does and when she gets at home at night, I bet you she finds the office pulse oximeter in her pocket.

Meet Bayleigh Atchley. If you started as a patient when we first opened, you already know her. For those who are new, let me explain that she moved away for the most selfish of reasons: to be with her husband. Can we all collectively gasp 😱. Doesn’t she know the clinic is like Hotel California and that you can never really leave?

Strengths: knows all the passcodes and passwords to every computer, patient portal and device. Seriously Bayleigh if you stop answering our text messages, how will we know how to power on the desktop?!

Weaknesses: she can explain to patients how scheduling and referrals work, but unfortunately cannot understand it for you. Also, has yet to figure out how electric cars are able to get wet ⚡️

Meet Sheryl McKathan. And her bearded dragon that she insisted had to be included as our mascot even though we are not a vet clinic.

Strengths: can go ten toes deep against an insurance company. Sheryl knows her stuff when it comes to billing and insurance. Can wrangle in patients and the animals on her farm- and yes her bearded dragon 🐉. See Sheryl, I’m including her just as requested.

Weaknesses: gluten. No other weaknesses detected. Seriously, she broke her finger and thought she could just maybe walk it off until Sam told her she’d 100% need surgery and guess who 100% had surgery? Sheryl.

We moved locations and realized we likely need to introduce ourselves to anyone who may not know us. So, let us start with the boss herself!

Meet Samantha Pickett. Nurse Practitioner extraordinaire.

Strengths 💪🏼 : can handle a full schedule of patients without falling behind, will fight for her patients to get complete comprehensive care whether it’s with specialists or diagnostics, can be scheduled back to back and still stop to pray with and for her patients all while building Lego sets with her grandkids or taking her staff on an all paid cruise!

Weaknesses: Likes to leave love notes that say things like, “take out the garbage, restock the lab, turn in your hours or you won’t get paid!”

Things you’ll catch her saying multiple times a week “your urgency is not my emergency!”

We’re family here at BHG, and Sam is the momma bear who probably would like to silence our text messages but just can’t bring herself to do it.
