Thank you to the Enterprise Lions Club for welcoming Forme’ Sculpting and Wellness Studio’s owner, Donnia Rambin, and giving her the opportunity to share what we offer at our Enterprise location!
We’re grateful to be part of this community and appreciate the Lions Club’s warm welcome and thoughtful feature. 💙
Donnia Rambin might be referred to as a “Jill of all trades.” She owns her own marketing business (GoDigitalWithDonnia), she designs websites, she is involved in the Wiregrass Blues Society, and, as if she did not have enough to keep her busy, she recently opened a new business in downtown Enterprise: Forme’ Sculpting and Wellness Studio. Donnia spoke to the Enterprise Lions Club recently about the many hats she wears, but especially about her new business venture.
Forme’ Sculpting and Wellness offers redlight and near infrared light therapy to address a variety of physical conditions. This therapy offers the most effective healing properties of any light therapy. It reduces inflammation and pain in patients with arthritis or fibromyalgia, produces collagen to improve skin appearance, helps improve skin affected by acne, increases energy, and a host of other benefits. It uses low-level wavelengths of light to increase cellular energy, boost circulation, and reduce inflammation.
The light is absorbed by cell mitochondria (the energy source), helping cells repair and regenerate more efficiently. The National Institutes of Health reports that red light targets the surface of the skin while near-infrared light penetrates deeper to reach joints, tendons, and ligaments. The treatment may smooth wrinkles, diminish sun damage and sunspots, and produce collagen to improve the appearance of the skin. It accelerates tissue growth to help injuries and incisions from surgery heal more quickly.
The light therapy is applied through a system of body wraps that contain a total of 4600 lights. Specific wraps are used for the leg area, shoulder area, torso, and face. You can have a complete body wrap or choose to target a specific area. Once wrapped in the light system, you can recline and relax on a comfortable bed for 30 minutes of therapy. Following the light therapy, you will be asked to step onto a pair of vibration platforms that gently jiggle you for about 20 minutes. This process is designed to force the muscles to contract and expand quickly, increasing blood flow throughout the body.
Donnia recommended that if you are dealing with pain, such as from arthritis, two visits a week can result in some relief from the pain. For skin issues such as psoriasis, three visits a week are recommended to see best results. Introductory visits are $47 a session, and you can purchase as many of those as you want to plan your schedule of visits. Package deals are also available. If you have certain health issues or concerns, such as a pacemaker, metal rods, rods in your back, or recent surgical incisions or open wounds, Donnia recommends checking with your doctor first before attempting the therapy.
Forme’ Sculpting and Wellness Studio is located in the Rawls Hotel in Suite 106 (located down the hall from the elevator). Hours of operation are 8:00-6:00 Monday through Friday and 10:00-2:00 on Saturday. For appointments, call 334-766-0025. For more information, visit their website at FormeWellnessStudio.com.
The Cleveland Clinic notes that red light and near-infrared light therapy is generally considered safe when properly applied. The low-level wavelengths do not cause cancer or damage DNA whereas ultraviolet rays, such as we get from the direct exposure to the sun or in tanning beds, can cause damage. There are no known adverse side effects from red light and near-infrared light therapy. Forme’ technicians are trained in the use of the equipment to ensure the safety and comfort of their clients. If you are looking for a passive, non-invasive treatment with no adverse side effects for relief from pain, improved skin tone and texture, and other health concerns, check with Forme’ Sculpting and Wellness Studio to see what they can do for you.
