✨ Healing Was Never Supposed to Look Perfect ✨
I feel like I’ve touched on this subject a lot lately, but apparently I’m not finished with it yet. 😂
There seems to be this idea—especially in the spiritual and healing world—that once you start working on yourself, you’re somehow supposed to become this permanently peaceful, perfectly evolved human being who never gets angry, never has a bad day, never says the wrong thing, never talks about anybody, never loses their patience, and certainly never says f**k.
Well… I hate to disappoint you. 😂
That’s not me.
And more importantly, I don’t think that’s what healing looks like.
Healing isn’t about becoming perfect. It’s about becoming aware.
It’s looking at the parts of ourselves we would rather not look at. It’s recognizing our patterns. Owning our mistakes. Admitting when we handled something badly. Understanding why something triggered us. Learning when to speak, when to walk away, when to apologize, and sometimes when to simply say, “Yep, I was an as***le today. Tomorrow I’ll try again.”
Because we are still HUMAN.
We have bad days.
We get irritated.
We gossip sometimes.
We judge people.
We lose our patience.
We say things we probably shouldn’t.
Some of us also swear like it’s a spiritual gift. 🙋♀️😂
Human nature doesn’t magically disappear because you bought some crystals, started meditating, got Reiki certified, or decided to work on yourself.
The growth is in what we do with it.
Can we recognize our behavior? Can we take responsibility for it? Can we change the way we react? Can we stop repeating the same patterns over and over while blaming everyone around us?
THAT is where the work is.
And I will always be upfront about that.
I’m not going to pretend my life is rainbows, puppy dogs, positive affirmations and high vibrations 24/7 because that wouldn’t be authentic. I have wonderful days. I have s**tty days. I have moments when I handle things beautifully, and I have moments when I think, “Well… that certainly wasn’t very spiritually evolved of me.” 😂
And then I learn from it.
I also understand that my approach isn't for everyone—and I genuinely mean that with no hard feelings.
Some people need a very soft approach to healing. Some need someone who gently guides them toward something they're not ready to see yet.
And some of us need someone who loves us enough to say, “Okay, but have you considered that YOU might be part of the problem?” 😂
Neither approach is wrong.
We all heal differently, and part of healing is finding the people, practitioners, teachers and communities that resonate with us.
So if you’re looking for someone who will sugarcoat everything, never swear, never have a bad day and pretend life is beautiful every second of every day, I may not be your person.
And that is completely okay.
But if you’re looking for a space where you’re allowed to be spiritual AND human…
Where you can meditate in the morning and be pi**ed off by noon…
Where you can be working on yourself and still occasionally screw it up spectacularly…
Where nobody expects perfection, but we DO expect accountability, growth and authenticity…
Pull up a chair.
You’ll fit in just fine. 💜
Healing isn't about becoming a perfect human.
It's about becoming a more conscious one.
And sometimes conscious humans still say f**k. 😂
