An exciting lineup of speakers designed to inspire employees and strengthen our dedication to one another included updates from Silvia M. Ferretti, D.O., Provost, Senior Vice President, and Dean of Academic Affairs for LECOM; Danielle Hansen, D.O., Regional President of LECOM Health; and James Y. Lin, D.O., President of LECOM Institute for Successful Living.

World-renowned guest speakers included:
+ Nik Wallenda, American acrobat, aerialist, and high-wire artist;
+ PGA golfer Adam Long; and
+ Easton Bazzoli, Gannon University Men’s Basketball Head Coach.

Monsignor David Rubino, VP of External Affairs at LECOM, served as the emcee and moderator.

Congratulations to Dylan, Emergency Department Technician at LECOM Medical Center, for being selected as their Employee of the Month for April! Some highlights of Dylan’s “Healing Hands” nominations:

“Dylan consistently demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and a strong commitment to patient care in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. He goes above and beyond his responsibilities by anticipating the needs of both patients and clinical staff, ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining a calm, supportive presence during critical situations. His ability to remain composed under pressure, coupled with excellent technical skills, has made him a reliable and valued member of the emergency department team.”

“I can't say enough about how GREAT Dylan is ... he is efficient in all aspects of his job. Goes above and beyond to make the nurses, doctors, and patients’ situations easier ... always one step ahead. He is great at recognizing situations and communicating immediately with nursing or the doctor. Patients love him. He is quiet, smart, efficient. He has been great with assisting doctors with procedures, putting together anything needed without even being asked.”

“Dylan is a great tech. He never has to be told what to do. He is always educating himself and learning new things that help us in the ER. He has taught himself to use the ultrasound to help nurses find veins on difficult patients with poor veins. Patients, staff and family members all enjoy being around him. Dylan is a true asset to LECOM. He is dependable and reliable. He helps out wherever needed. He is continuing his education and loves to teach others. We can only hope he returns here after finishing school.”
