I feel really grateful that creating the Erie Wellness Podcast gets to be part of my work.

Getting to meet people in our community, hear their stories, learn about the work they’re doing, and share it with all of you has been such a meaningful experience.

But this reel really isn’t about my job. It’s about yours.

I think there’s something powerful about recognizing the parts of our work that give us purpose—whether you’re running a business, raising kids, teaching, caring for others, building something, serving our community, or simply showing up and doing your best in the season you’re in.

So today, think about this:
What part of the work you do makes you feel proud, fulfilled, or purposeful?

I’d genuinely love to hear your answer.

No family should have to navigate the loss of a child alone. 🤍

The Madeleine Camille Foundation supports local families grieving the loss of a child through financial assistance, remembrance stones, and other meaningful resources that provide support and connection during an incredibly difficult time.

Their hope is simple—that families in our community know they have somewhere to turn.

Your teen wants to go to college… now what?! 🎓

Choosing schools, applications, deadlines, finances, preparing them to live on their own—and all the emotions that come with realizing your kid is actually getting ready to leave home.

This week on The Erie Wellness Podcast, I’m sitting down with local author Debbie Schoeneshoefer to talk about her new book, Your Teen Is Headed to College!, and how parents can navigate this season with a little more confidence and a lot less overwhelm.

I can’t wait for parents to hear our conversation—and for families in our community with teens to get their hands on this book!

If you have a teen headed toward college, what questions do you have? What feels the most overwhelming?

Drop your question below 👇 or DM us, and I may ask Deb during our conversation!

After 63 episodes and conversations with local wellness professionals, I think the biggest thing I’ve learned is this:

Be you. And find what works for YOU.

We are all so different—our bodies respond differently, our minds work differently, our relationships are different and we’re all in different seasons of life.

Be curious. Try new things. Pay attention to what makes you feel good and what actually works for your life.

And when you find those things, be consistent and do them well.

There is no one-size-fits-all way to wellness. And honestly, I think that’s a really good thing.

Be curious. Be consistent. Be YOU.

Parenting is HARD—even when you love it.

The big emotions, repeating yourself, holding boundaries, and trying to stay calm when you’re overwhelmed too.

We all want to be intentional, enjoy this season with our kids, and feel more connected, confident, and present along the way.

This week on The Erie Wellness Podcast, I’m sitting down with Amanda Rodriguez of Unconditional Connections, a local Certified Parent Coach, to talk about just that.

What are you struggling with in parenting right now? What would you ask a parent coach?

Drop your question below 👇 or DM us, and I may ask Amanda during our conversation!

Erie Wellness Truth: If every run feels harder than it should, motivation may not be the problem—you might not be giving your body enough fuel.

Just like a car can’t run without gas, your body can’t perform without energy.

In this episode, local run coach Char Griess︱Colorado Run Coach explains why carbohydrates are especially important for runners and why fueling properly can make a real difference in how you feel during training.

Erie Wellness Truth: Your mind needs training just as much as your body does.

When a workout or race gets hard, repeating a mantra can help redirect your attention away from the discomfort and remind you of what you’re capable of.

In this episode, run coach Char Griess︱Colorado Run Coach shares the mantra she uses during challenging workouts: “I’m fast, I’m fit, and I’m getting fitter.”
