Today is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs) Awareness Day!
Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs) are a group of conditions that can occur in a person exposed to alcohol before birth. It is important to remember that there is no safe level of alcohol exposure during pregnancy.

Preserving Food? Don’t Forget About Lead!

Home canning and food preservation are great ways to enjoy your garden’s harvest—but it’s important to make sure the equipment you use is safe for food.

Some older or imported cookware, ceramics, and food-storage items may contain lead that can leach into food. Using food-safe equipment is an important step in reducing exposure.
