This week at Jimbo’s, we’re hosting a fundraiser for Rodale Institute . 100% of your donation will benefit their Farmers Training Program which is a paid 35-week program that gives aspiring farmers the knowledge and experience they need to start their regenerative organic career. The Rodale Institute is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing regenerative organic agriculture through research, education, and outreach. For nearly 80 years, their mission has remained focused on healing the health of people & planet by creating healthier soil through regenerative organic agriculture practices.

LEADING THE WAY IN FARMER EDUCATION:
95 million acres of farmland are poised to change hands in the next decade. The Rodale Institute is training the next generation of farmers with the knowledge they need to fill their shoes. The Rodale Institute’s Farmer Training Program is a paid 35-week Farmer training program that gives aspiring farmers the knowledge and experience the need to start their regenerative organic career. Students will experience the entire life cycle of an organic diversified crop and vegetable farm and learn what it takes to maintain a profitable business - all while building soil and nutrient density of their crops.

Coastal Cleanup Day Recap:

On Saturday, September 19, a few of Jimbo’s staff along with 70 other volunteers collected 223.4 pounds of trash from Fiesta Island
- Mission Bay! This was part of Coastal Cleanup Day- the largest
global cleanup event of the year.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the Jimbo's staff who volunteered their time to help protect our beaches and oceans. Cleanups like this are crucial to protecting marine life and keeping our ecosystems healthy, and everyone truly made such a positive impact. On Coastal Cleanup Day alone, 56,687 lbs of trash and recycling was diverted from San Diego's coastline!
