When Caroline and Sydney Williams moved to Essex Meadows in 2016, they were among the community's younger residents at 75 and 77. Right away, they noticed a big difference between themselves and the other residents. There wasn't one.

Another beautiful Saturday on the trails for the Essex Meadows Hikers!

Last weekend, a group of a dozen residents set out from campus to enjoy a scenic three-mile hike through the gardens, along a newly added trail, past a local alpaca farm, and to a grove of chestnut saplings planted by a fellow resident.

Last weekend, hikers at Essex Meadows took advantage of the beautiful weather to explore 2.5 miles of trails throughout The Preserve. Along the way, the group achieved a new milestone, reaching their highest cumulative elevation gain to date at 366 feet.

Congratulations to everyone who accomplished this hike and enjoyed the weather!
