Yes, delicious meals nourish me and help me feel cared for. But it’s also time with my animals, moving through yoga, getting outside, hiking, slowing down, and creating space for practices like Reiki that help me feel more grounded and connected to myself.

The more I’ve learned, the more I’ve realized that feeling nourished can look like so many different things.

Sometimes it’s what’s on my plate. Sometimes it’s fresh air, movement, rest, connection, or simply being somewhere that helps me feel like myself again.

A well-nourished life is bigger than food. 🤍

The dating skill no one talks about? Trusting yourself.

Learning to notice what your body is telling you in real time. What feels open. What feels off. What feels exciting. What makes you want to shrink, overthink, or override yourself.

That’s exactly what Xayleen Marie and I will be exploring together in The Venus Room, using Human Design + the Gene Keys Venus Sequence to help you better understand your own cues, patterns, and natural way of moving through relationships.

You’ll leave with a custom dating guide, personalized reflection prompts, and practical ways to support yourself as you date from a place of more alignment, awareness, and self-trust.

Saturday, September 26
11:00am–1:30pm

I used to think nervous system support meant finding the “right” tools and using them consistently. But one of the biggest things I’ve learned is that your nervous system gets a say too.

I had an experience with breathwork that actually led to a panic attack, and it changed the way I think about regulation. Something can be calming for one person and activating for another. That doesn’t automatically make the practice bad, it just means your body may be asking for something different.

Now I pay much more attention to how my system responds instead of assuming a tool should work because it’s labeled as grounding, calming, or healing. Nervous system support is personal. The goal isn’t to force relaxation. It’s to build enough awareness and trust to notice what actually helps you feel more supported.

A made-up holiday I can absolutely get behind: National Eat Another Dessert Day. 🍪

And yes, I’m team eat the dessert. Not because you need a special occasion, not because you “earned it,” and not because you have to prove anything by eating it. Dessert gets to be food you enjoy simply because it tastes good.

For anyone healing their relationship with food, that can be a much bigger statement than it sounds. Letting dessert exist without compensation, negotiation, or guilt is part of rebuilding trust and making room for food to be pleasurable again.

So whether today looks like another cookie, your favorite dessert, or just eating in the way that feels supportive to you, there’s no test to pass here. And personally, I’ll be celebrating with cookies. 🍪🤍

Nothing like casually minding my business in a social setting and suddenly hearing diet talk enter the chat 😅

Food, bodies, weight, and “being good” around eating have become such normalized conversation topics that people often don’t realize how loaded they can be. For someone healing their relationship with food or their body, an offhand comment can bring up a whole lot more than the person saying it probably intended.

So yes, I may be smiling politely. But internally, I am absolutely campaigning for a subject change. Tell me about your dog. Your vacation. Your latest dating disaster. Literally anything else. 😂

One of the things I love about Human Design is that it gives us another way to notice the patterns we move through without turning them into something we need to fix.

Defined and undefined centers can show us where energy tends to feel more consistent, and where we may be more sensitive to outside pressure, expectations, or the people around us. In recovery, that can open up really interesting questions around control, comparison, emotional overwhelm, self-worth, and learning what actually feels true for you.

For me, the goal is never to make Human Design another set of rules to follow. It’s a tool for curiosity. A way to better understand what’s yours, what might not be, and what helps you come back to yourself.

Your nervous system comes to the table with you. 🍽️

When you’re stressed, rushed, distracted, or already feeling anxious around food, it can be harder to notice hunger and fullness cues, stay present, or actually enjoy what you’re eating. That doesn’t mean every meal needs to happen in a perfectly calm environment. It just means the way your body feels matters, too.

A few simple ways to support your nervous system before or during meals: take a few slower breaths, sit down when you can, reduce distractions that feel overwhelming, put both feet on the floor, or take a moment to notice what feels supportive in your environment.

The goal isn’t to create another “right” way to eat. It’s to give your body more opportunities to feel safe, supported, and nourished at the table.

Seatbelt on, in need of a snack. 🚗 🍪

One bad night of sleep can change the way hunger shows up the next day, and that doesn’t mean anything has gone wrong.

Sometimes your body simply needs more support. More energy. More nourishment. And responding to that hunger instead of trying to “make up for it” or push past it is one more way to reinforce trust with your body.

Your needs are allowed to change from day to day. That’s not inconsistency, that’s just being human. 🤍

Healing can ask a lot of you. It can ask you to sit with discomfort, unlearn old patterns, rebuild trust, and get to know parts of yourself you may have spent a long time avoiding.

But healing isn’t meant to become another full-time job. At some point, the goal is not to keep analyzing yourself or trying to become the “most healed” version of you. The goal is to live, and sometimes the deepest sign of healing is that you stop thinking about healing quite so much.

You’re just… living. And maybe that’s the most beautiful part. 🤍
