جب چھوٹا بچہ غصے میں ماں باپ کو مارتا ہے، تو اکثر لوگ
فوراً کہتے ہیں:

“بدتمیز ہو گیا ہے”
“ضدی ہے”
“ابھی سے ہاتھ اٹھاتا ہے”

لیکن حقیقت یہ ہے کہ چھوٹا بچہ اکثر بدتمیز نہیں ہوتا، وہ صرف اپنے جذبات سنبھالنا نہیں جانتا۔

بڑوں کے ساتھ بھی ایسا ہوتا ہے۔

فرض کریں آپ نے پورا ہفتہ امتحان کی تیاری کی، آپ کو لگا پرچہ بہت اچھا ہوا، لیکن نتیجہ توقع سے بہت کم آیا۔ آپ پریشان ہو گئے، دل ٹوٹ گیا، غصہ بھی آیا۔ لیکن آپ کا دوست اتنا پریشان نہیں ہوا۔

کیوں؟

کیونکہ ہر انسان جذبات کو مختلف طریقے سے محسوس کرتا ہے، سمجھتا ہے، اور سنبھالتا ہے۔

بچوں کے ساتھ بھی یہی ہوتا ہے، بس فرق یہ ہے کہ ان کا دماغ ابھی بڑھ رہا ہوتا ہے۔ وہ یہ نہیں کہہ پاتے:

“امی، میں تھک گیا ہوں”
“ابو، مجھے توجہ چاہیے”
“مجھے سمجھ نہیں آ رہی کہ میں اتنا غصہ کیوں ہوں”

تو وہ کبھی چیختے ہیں، کبھی روتے ہیں، کبھی چیز پھینکتے ہیں، اور کبھی مار بھی دیتے ہیں۔

یہاں والدین کا اصل امتحان شروع ہوتا ہے۔

بچے کو مارنے، چیخنے یا شرمندہ کرنے سے وہ جذبات سنبھالنا نہیں سیکھتا۔ وہ صرف یہ سیکھتا ہے کہ طاقتور انسان غصے میں کمزور پر ہاتھ اٹھاتا ہے۔

بہتر طریقہ یہ ہے:

پہلے خود پُرسکون رہیں۔

بچے کا ہاتھ نرمی سے روکیں اور صاف الفاظ میں کہیں:

“میں تمہیں مارنے نہیں دوں گا/گی۔ غصہ آ سکتا ہے، لیکن مارنا ٹھیک نہیں ہے۔”

پھر اس کے جذبات کو نام دیں:

“تمہیں غصہ آ رہا ہے؟”
“تم تھک گئے ہو؟”
“تمہیں یہ چیز چاہیے تھی؟”

جب بچہ پُرسکون ہو جائے تو اسے دوسرا راستہ دکھائیں:

“مارنے کے بجائے کہو: مجھے غصہ آ رہا ہے۔”
“تکیہ دبا لو۔”
“گہرا سانس لو۔”
“آؤ میرے پاس بیٹھ جاؤ۔”

یاد رکھیں، مقصد یہ نہیں کہ بچے کو ہر وقت خوش رکھا جائے۔

اداسی، غصہ اور جھنجھلاہٹ — یہ سب عام انسانی جذبات ہیں۔ مقصد یہ ہے کہ بچہ آہستہ آہستہ یہ سیکھے کہ جذبات آ سکتے ہیں، لیکن دوسروں کو نقصان پہنچانا ٹھیک نہیں۔

بچے جذبات کو نصیحت سے کم، اور والدین کے عمل سے زیادہ سیکھتے ہیں۔

جب آپ اس کے غصے کے سامنے خود پُرسکون رہتے ہیں، تو آپ اسے صرف تربیت نہیں دے رہے ہوتے، آپ اسے جذبات پر قابو پانا سکھا رہے ہوتے ہیں۔

اور یہی ہنر بڑے ہو کر اس کے رشتوں، اعتماد اور ذہنی صحت میں کام آتا ہے-
