Hot tip: Eating 1 to 2 Brazil nuts a day can give your body the selenium it needs to support a healthy thyroid.

Think of your thyroid as your body’s thermostat and energy manager. It helps regulate how much energy you have, how warm you feel, how efficiently you burn fuel, and even influences your mood.

Selenium helps your thyroid make and use its hormones properly while also protecting the gland from everyday wear and tear.

When your thyroid is functioning well, it can support:

✨ Steady energy throughout the day
✨ A sturdy metabolism
✨ Clear thinking and a balanced mood
✨ Healthy hair, skin, and nails
✨ Hormonal balance and regular cycles
✨ Fertility and reproductive health
✨ A smoother transition through perimenopause and menopause

*not a doctor… and I believe this information should be freely available to the masses.

Many of us have been taught to relate to our bodies as projects.

We monitor andĀ manage.
To optimize and chase theĀ fix.

So when pain arises, when symptoms appear, the pause before the threshold….when we feel disconnected, the instinct of the mind is often to search for the next solution.

A better workout, the new and improved gadget/supplement/ ā€œinsert new health fadā€

Talking about the problem more, going to another doctor after doctor, healer after healer in search ofĀ
A better version of ourselves.

What if the issue isn’t that you’re missing the right fix?

What if you’ve been approaching your body through the lens of correction instead of relationship?

A healthy relationship with your body doesn’t mean you never seek support, learn new things, or want change.

It means those choices arise from partnership rather than distrust.

What if your body isn’t asking you to become someone else?

What if it’s asking you to know yourself more deeply?

Curious: What shifted when you stopped trying to fix yourself and started building a relationship with yourself?

Mentors change your life.

Something I figured out pretty young was absolutely necessary for me in pushing forward towards the life I wanted to live.

I find more often than not intelligent women think they should just figure it all out on their own. I completely disagree. We flourish with a council and in right community.

Mentorship was necessary scaffolding in me dreaming a big dream outside of being a welfare single Mom. Having other women help hold this dream with me far outweighed any mental manipulation. Mentorship is tangible in real time.

Throughout my life I lacked community around upward mobility. I was always a hustler ( had 3 jobs in highschool and would take dancing gigs too) but I didn’t have a community of folks that were really reaching for their dreams. So I had to create that for myself through paid or barter mentorship.

Mentorship continues to change my life and I’ve had the support of amazing women ( and men) in my life because of this.

We aren’t meant to do this life alone.
Birds of a feather flock together.

We are over-identified and under-connected.

Online marketing figured out a long time ago that pain hijacks attention.

There are entire ecosystems built around wounds.( I lived here for far too long)
Communities organized around symptoms instead of shared creation.
Endless self-recognition without actual self-expansion and deeper reflection on the whole other parts of you just benchwarming

People can list:
their attachment style,
their diagnoses,
their trauma archetype,
their nervous system state…

…but ask them what they want to make, build, love, risk, taste, or grow toward?

that is the hard part, and the waters we must swim in.

And honestly, partsof the healing industry ( ahem trauma industrial complex) reinforce the loop because unresolved identity is profitable.

keep you circling in the air of self-analysis , you dont land ...
You just become exquisitely articulate about your suffering.

At this point a lot of the healing industry feels stale.
Stagnant algae bloom water.
No movement.
No fresh current.
Just people endlessly recycling their pain into content and identity creating online trauma bonds which give the illusion of shared meaning. I think we all want something deeper than the worst things that happened to us.

I think the next wave belongs to people who can hold complexity without worshipping wounds.
People who can acknowledge pain without building a moat around it.

People who want connection again.
Creation again.
Actual living again.

Not just another language system for endlessly describing why they can’t begin.

I wouldn’t say I’ve hit a creative block but I’ve needed to satiate other parts of me that have been feeling ignored.

The parts that don’t stack neatly and follow protocol.

The feral parts that need miles of space to feel my smallness and to feel like a giant at the same time. To have the capacity to cocreate even more. Even if it’s just for me and it’s not for public consumption.

You see this creative force has a few streams and I’ve been bailing water into the river. Let it flow. Without force. Let it be what it wants to be.

PS: if you are in Eugene, OR area i’d love to practice energy work on your horse for free. DM if interested:)

Teaching folks to have a felt sense feeling of their tensegrity has to be one of the most exciting things to witnessšŸ¤“. Because you can’t go back. You can starting feeling into your spiral movements and start to tap into ā€œpressurizing your own vesselā€ with a bit of practice and no amount of me telling you about it will make it click. It has to be felt.

Buckminster Fuller has had an incredible influence on my work as someone who can see the divine enraptured through the physical where most draw linear lines and throw it in the pile of the mundane. There is a natural form that allows for the illusion of formlessness and vice versa. I’ll expand on this intellectual love affair later šŸ˜‚ The emotional and spiritual absolutely influence our physical experience. It is often through having physical experiences we have more access to these fields.
Through movement we free old ghosts and through working with posture and gait we learn to embody this new form.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Annual fill the back of my truck with flowers for my front walk way garden ….while my youngest daughter ( Hazel not present in this go round) patiently follow my Mom and I around for a few hours.

The Mother portal is open…a tender day for many ladies out there, go gently.

I never set out to be a Mother, yet it has been my most fulfilling role in this life. A child at 20 and a child at 30. Two very different Moms to two different girls.

The biggest bu****it they will sell you is that you have to love yourself before you can love another…you pull yourself together because you know they deserve better and even before you can see yourself clearly.

This is what our daughters call us forward in doing.

Girls don’t miss a beat and they are always watching us with their eyes and intuition. Every place you aren’t right with yourself they adapt as their own…and your role ( should you choose it) is to come correct with yourself. The way you treat your body, what you allow from men, how you carry yourself in this world, what you allow yourself to receive.

And they are not you. They are the 2.0 version living their own timeline, their own destiny, walking their own path. And you are the steward of love along the way.

There’s a strange resistance people have to foundations.
Everyone wants the advanced pose.
The heavy lift.
The sexy choreography.
The biohack.
The peak.
Very few people want to revisit how they stand, breathe, walk, hinge, rotate, stabilize, recover.
But foundations are the difference between a body that performs…and a body that keeps collapsing under the weight of its own compensation patterns.
As someone who’s been injured and re-injured multiple times, I can tell you this plainly:
Going back to the basics is not regression.
It’s refinement.
It’s the secret sauce.
The next version of šŸŗVESSELšŸŗ is going to be rooted in foundations.
Functional patterning.
Stacking the bones.
Understanding the tensegrity of the body.
Gaining a felt sense of how our emotional body weaves into the physical.
Learning how force travels through you instead of getting trapped in the wrong places.
Not just so you can work out harder.
But so you can become a lifelong mover.
Someone who knows when to push.
When to pivot.
When to restack
When to slow down before the body starts screaming.

A resilient body isn’t built through intensity alone.
It’s built through relationship.
Practice.
Awareness.
And patterns that can actually hold your life.

DM if you want to be put on the Vessel presale list and I’ll send you more info.

I originally created Formation as a bridge back to ourselves from medical and mental health systems.
We are inundated with information, sending you down rabbit holes and we can keep talking about what’s going on …But eventually the work becomes learning how to move through it, feel into it, and become an active participant in our body’s healing story.
Yes support is always available to you But we also need to develop our own body literacy before someone else’s voice completely overrides our own.

I teach people how to work with the physical, emotional, and energetic body while building movement practices that actually stick.

Now accepting 1:1 clients for Formation Journey & Single Somatic Energy Alignment Sessions

Last year I was visiting my best friend in NYC, and he took me to his church…the over-40 gay disco.

Naturally, I brought out my signature dropping ass moment.

And…I busted my hip. 😌

Now tell me how that happens to someone like me?

Meanwhile, a 60-year-old across the floor is out here doing full death drops like gravity is optional

Humbling.

There’s that old saying:
if you don’t use it, you lose it.
And I was out of practice of dropping down low. Sad I know.

I’ve lived through more stop-and-go seasons than I can count.
Birth deformity & hip surgery, 30ft climbing fall, hit by an SUV while riding my bicycle me to name a few…

Injuries. Setbacks. Rebuilds.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

You don’t stop moving.
You change how you move.

You pivot.
You slow down.
You get honest about what’s actually available.

You step out of your deeply grooved routines and meet your body where it is now not where your ego thinks it should be.

I’ve always moved through injury.
Adjusting pace.
Adjusting load.
Adjusting approach.
Listening.

So if you’re dealing with pain or an injury right now ,healing isn’t the absence of movement…
it’s learning how to stay in relationship with your body
while it rewrites itself.

Im accepting new 1:1 clients in studio or on zoom.
