Cancer treatment can affect the whole person – strength, mobility, swallowing, nutrition, energy, mental health, and so much more.
That’s why cancer rehab often takes a team.
During National Cancer Rehabilitation Month, we’re recognizing the range of professionals who support people during and after cancer treatment, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nutritionists, mental health professionals and other care partners. Together, they help patients and survivors rebuild strength, adapt to changes, manage symptoms and return to the parts of life that matter most. You can find many of those folks right here at Cascade Health, including oncological physical therapist Andréa Leiserowitz, DPT, CLT, who played a key role launching the first-ever National Cancer Rehab Month in 2025.
If you’re a cancer patient or survivor looking to find out more about how tackling issues like pain, swelling, lymphedema, chemo-induced neuropathy, fatigue, and a limited range of motion can make a huge difference in your quality of life, find out more at https://www.cascadehealth.org/physical-therapy/cancer.
