At dawn In the glorious Chol'Qij Mayan Calendar we have started a new trecena / 13 day cycle which is guided by the nahual 1 B’atz’

B’atz’ is the nahual that began the cycle of time and the cholq’ij calendar. It represents tiempo, sacred time. ⏰

What is it to count and track sacred time?

How does one life change when we relearn how to count time in alignment with the rhythms of mother earth, nuestra Tonanztin tlalli Coatlicue? 🌍

Each of these divination calendars may be linked to a nation and holds cultural identity, yet they are beyond one people and instead a time keeping system that can allow all humanity to live in alignment with earth rhythms.

B'atz' is a day, trecena, and ventena that teaches us how we are linked throughout time.

Es un tiempo to weave your story with others.

At this time give thanks for all your cycles, for we each have personal stories that spiral throughout time and we also weave communal ones with one another.

This is a time of coming together to make más arte, weaving stories, and planting más amor y harmonia.

This nahual is a playful one and invites in exploration.

B'atz' is the nahual of the monkey 🐒

The nahual of curiosity.

The nahual that allows the inner child to explore and play in creativity.

This trecena is a powerful one as it marks the ventena or 20 day count down to wajxaqib B'atz'

The day that we celebrate the creation of all humanity, where we were finally and successfully made from corn after 3 other attempts (mud, wood, & animals)

Thus these 20 days are of reverence as we honor our 2 legged bodies.

B'atz' is a fortuitous nahual of love.

This with the start of a new trecena, it is a potent day for marriage, to mend your relationships, or renew vows.

B'atz' teaches of love. Amor

Love that we must foster within ourselves first and foremost so that we can learn to do so with another. ❤️‍🩹

Take time these next 13 days to integrate your life experiences and understand all that passes have its reasons.

May B'atz' help you weave together your story into one of love, play, and healing.

Happy trecena B'atz' 🐵

Feliz luna llena ✨🌕 ✨ Happy Full Moon

El mes de mayo tiene dos luna llenas, a rare blue moon.

It peaked in fullness on Saturday night at 1:45am (Sunday 31st of May)

In the glorious Chol'Qij Mayan Calendar we look to the nahual on Saturday 30th for its energy as a new day doesn't begin till dawn. Thus we had 11 Q’anil.

Q’anil represents the seeds we plant, physical, emotional, or spiritual.

Q’anil is the four colors of corn, the food we eat, & our harvest.

This day speaks to our emotional nourishment and our well being.

This luna llena, under the light of the moon, plant dreams under Nana Metzli for a better tomorrow.

Whatever night you are celebrating este luna llena, may your rézitos be illuminated by her light.

May you find clarity in how to move forward, in any areas of your life you feel perdida.

May la luz light tu camino.

Feliz luna llena

then around 8pm go outside for a fire (outdoors if the weather is dry or indoors around the stove) to offer songs, to***co, and prayers as we make our chicha de maiz,

and finally finish the night off lifting up our rezitos a nana metzli con nuestra chanupitas obsidianas.

This morning at dawn in the glorious Chol'Qij Mayan Calendar we start a new trecena / 13 day cycle guided by the nahual 1 Tijax.

Wednesday 20th of May

Tijax is the nahual of obsidian. The stone venerated by our Mexican & Maya ancestors for healing.

This power crystal has the ability to heal & cut, both in the physical but especially in the energetic realms.

The obsidian blade or Tecpatl has been used for pyhsic surgery and opening the dimensions into the energetic realms.

Here is where we can cut thru the mysterious viels of all creation to pull out invisible illnesses and call the spirits in for doctoring and healing.

Tijax is a nahual of healers, doctors, or even cueanderx.

It's the energy and ability to heal, those with this nahual have power in their hands.

Yet it holds the duality of both healing, but also suffering.

This time we must watch our words and be careful with what we speak, as our tongues can too be made of Tecpatl and cut sharply or heal like flowers.

If you have obsidian lying around it's time to pull it out and pray with it.

Wake it up during this trecena by smudging it con humo de coapali or singing to it.

Use your obsidiana for healing any invisible energies that are lingering in your cuerpitos.

Cut away the problemas all around you by looking within the obsidian mirror and seeing you must start with you.

It's time to stop blaming others and look deep within and see all life holds teachings & we must remember to sit in reflection.

With the start of a new trecena, use this day's energy for cutting away heavy energy or thoughts, and call in strength, fortitude, & healing.

Take time at your altars to pray for healing of self, but also light velaciones for it can be a powerful time for collective healing, especially as we walk towards this powerful luna llena.

In collective prayer we ask for humanity to find healing, to look deep within the obsidian mirror and find peace within.

This is a time to call forth a stop to all suffering and look within for healing.

Matiox chawe nahual Tijax por este trecena sagrada.

Today at dawn in the glorious Chol'Qij Mayan Calendar we have started a new trecena 13 day cycle guided by the nahual 1 kan

1 Kan - Thursday 7th of May

Kan is known as Quetzalcoatl, Gucumatz, or Kluklukan and is the serpent of transformation. 🐍

Kan is the serpent, teaching us we have the ability to shed our old skin, healing any sickness.

We are meant to transform and let go of old versions of ourself, not stay the same vibration throughout life.

The serpent teaches us this ability to grow new skin.

Whatever you have been holding onto, this is a time to find that final movement and let it go.

Shake it out of your body 🌬️

Burn the old stories in the fire 🔥

Wash it away in the river 💦

Give it back to the earth 🌍

Use ritual this trecena, incorporating the elements to give that final release.

This time begins a new trecena, thus will guide the following 13 day cycle as a time of renewal and letting go of old energies.

Use this as a time of healing and transform.

La medicina ancestral nos sana, limpia, y cura. Pero la llave es la fe y tu relación con el creador, con la medicina, con tu mismo....

Every practitioner will offer different modalities, knowledge, or tips on how they've healed or from what they've learned, pero they are just an instrument for creator to channel the healing thru them.

We each have aceso to la medicina. Many of our ancestors may have died protecting it, pero ya estamos en un tiempo of coming back to honor its power.

But we have to believe and as well acknowledge we may different methods at times. Honoring all los caminos that lead to healing.

Curanderismo is holistic medicine, where one acknowledges healing must occur in all 3 plans; the physical, spiritual, & emotional.

We look to the root of illness using indigenous teachings, medicine tools, plants, and wisdom.

The foundation of Curanderismo is to not to just treat an illness, but also to look at how and from where it manifested in the emotional body.

For all illnesses, problems, disease, conditions form physically in the body from a directly related illness in the soul.

If need of a limpia, I have openings this month of May at Xochikalli Healing Center / The House of Flowers in Eureka CA 📍

Ayer en the glorious CholQ'ij Mayan Calendar we honored el día 8 Kawok

Friday 1st of Mayo

Peaking in fullness around 10:23 am Pacific time

8 Kawok - Full Moon :

Kawoq represents community & family.

It reminds us of the balance between all life; the plants, animals, & humanity and the sun, moon, stars, and cosmos.

It's the constant energetic exchange between all life. Acknowledging we 2leggeds are equal to a blade of grass.

Kawok is the balance between all existence and reminds us of the reference we should ideally remember to walk in, cada pasito es sagrado.

Kawok guides us on May’s 1st full moon and thus it's a potent time to work within your community and better the future for the good of all our people & relations.

May everyone have enjoyed la luna llena 🌝
