How many of you drink “the mommy juice” or go for “a cold one” to relax?

While I can’t say I relate these days to that, personally, I offer no zero judgement here!

However, what if I told you that learning how to practice conscious connected Breathwork could “taste” SO much better!?!

Would you believe me? 🧐

I’m considering opening up a weekly “sleepy time” session.

You join me from your home. Cozy as you come minus the cold one or mom juice to truly notice what it may feel like to breathe yourself into a deeper more restful state.

Perhaps, you may sleep throughout the entire night! **its been proven many times to be that successful**

Sleep is the number one reason our body stays in alignment with our wellness!

Interest? I’m considering Wednesday evening currently. I’d love to hear your thoughts on how improved sleep would benefit your overall wellness goals?

Yesterday in my new program we were discussing

Exercise

In 2017 ish, four years after my grief began I thought taking High Intensity classes was exactly what I needed.

I was working non stop, driving 3-6 hours a day and flying 2-3 times a week. Fast paced life was an understatement.

So of course, I felt it was a major accomplishment to go to this class twice a week and beat the crap out of the floor with a rope, while ball slamming and jumping so high my knees almost gave out!

But as I reflected yesterday, that is NOT at all what my nervous system needed. A nervous system that was literally living “pedal to the metal” full steam a head!

Yet, that’s what I was FAMILIAR with! My body was comfortable in fast pace.

But what if, I knew what I do now? What if, I gave my self permission to simply walk? Lift with slower intention. Breathed from nose. Maybe did some Pilates, connecting to my breath and body slower.

Maybe, those panic attacks in 2018 would have never shown up? Or maybe not.

Yet, now I know that the way I move is not laziness. Instead, it’s me supporting my nervous system intentionally!

So, perhaps you can try this week. Take a slower walk. Breathe through your nose instead of your mouth. I’m curious to hear what you observe! 👇

When Carrie died by su***de, I had also lost two other family members and a loved one to gun violence all in one year!

I traveled daily pressing onward.

My only saving Grace during those moments was Christian music AND the angelic feathers I’d see all over the Midwest.

Today, I did a hard thing in the face of opposition.

Then, I came home to this. My angelic sign from my dear cousin who cheered me on daily.

I love and miss you. Thank you 💕

What signs do you see that you know for certain are signs from your loved ones?

I live on a busy road.

Everyday I hear the cars, buses, big trucks and yes, the lovely motorcycles.

I have been caught three times in the last week between my car, my self and someone who is very clearly in a rush.

When did we become so chaotic? Rushed? Angry? Need for speed? Control?

If I actually asked the speed racer, I bet they would not even have awareness.

Because, that speed is their protector. Their nervous system is full steam sympathetic drive. I bet, in their day there is little to no time to actually SLOW down and FEEL.

Either by choice, fear or more!

So, while I can’t fix them, I can control my breath. Find a deeper awareness and when I desire, using conscious connected Breathwork takes to place where I don’t hear the chaos.

If I do my part, maybe just maybe it will impact this rushing society! If you are curious on how you can learn to join with me - shoot me a DM!

Ohhhh those tears. Grief. It just hits in moments. Moments of stillness for me. Tonight, I’m struggling with wanting to send that text or that call. Reading this just hit me in heart. I share because I know for many of you - you also understand this. 💕 Grab a tissue and feel as you read it.

I hope you don’t miss me up there as much as I miss you down here.

The day you died, I felt like I stopped breathing too.

Like a part of me left with you.

And I’ve spent every day still trying to figure out how to fill that emptiness.

I hope you don’t feel any of that up there.

I hope there’s no pain, no grief.

I hope you didn’t take any of it with you when you left.

I hope you’re not watching us and worrying.

I hope the moment you left, everything that was hard here just fell away.

The things that kept you up.

The things that wore you down.

I hope you got to leave it all behind.

Because I’m still here in it.

Still feeling every bit of what this life asks of me.

And as much as I would give anything to have you back, I hope where you are now is so far beyond anything we could ever have words for down here.

I hope it’s just beautiful.

I hope it’s just easy.

I hope it’s everything this life sometimes couldn’t be.

I hope you’re free.

Today I heard the perfect question!!!

Have you checked your phone today?🧐

NOW, when was the last time you checked your breath?

Truly, notice it. Where does it come from - chest or belly?

How are does it go, where does it start, where does it?

WHY does any of it matter??

When we understand our breath - we create our own power through changing our physiology!!

No medication, no diagnosis, no label or attachment. Just Freedom! 🎉
