We’re looking for a part-time Community Herbalist to join our team! We’d love to talk to you if you’re a knowledgeable herbalist who has completed a formal herbal education program, you have a happy, self-motivated professional disposition, and you enjoy a sometimes very busy pace. You need to have excellent customer service skills, and retail experience is a definite plus. Good computer skills are also a plus.

As a Community Herbalist, your primary job will be to guide our customers through our selection of herbs and herbal products. We take great pride in providing outstanding customer service. You’ll keep shelves stocked, blend lots of teas, keep the store clean and tidy, fill internet and phone orders, and have a great time!

Your primary shifts will be Saturdays and Sundays, with additional shifts here and there as needed.

🌎👣 For millions of years, we’ve evolved in close relationship with Nature: Soil beneath our feet, wild water water in our mouths, the cycles of Sun and Moon written into your sleep, your hormones, your nervous system.

Your body is coded to be healed by Nature. Time in Nature lowers stress hormones, slows your heart rate, and restores your nervous systems to a state of calm you can't find anywhere else. 🧘💚

📱⛓️‍💥🌿 But modern life has severed that connection. Screens instead of soil, concrete instead of Land, fluorescent light instead of sunrise. We've built a culture that rewards disconnection and calls it progress, and we’re paying for it in anxiety, exhaustion, restlessness,and the sense that something in us is malnourished even when everything looks “fine.”

🚫 We can't keep living so far from the very source that gives us life. The old paradigm, the one that treats Earth as a resource to extract from and Nature as something separate from us, is breaking down before our eyes. What rises in its place depends entirely on whether we remember how to tend to this relationship…
