This Memorial Day, I honor my father β a proud American veteran who served our country with courage, discipline, and sacrifice. He dedicated much of his life to the United States Armed Forces, serving with the Big Red One Division and retiring in 1985 as a Command Sergeant Major.
Some of the most defining years of his life were spent in Vietnam from the ages of 18β23, serving during war with bravery and strategic leadership that shaped the man he became. His service, sacrifice, and love for this country left a lasting impact on our family and all who knew him. We lost him in 2013, but his legacy continues to live on through us.
Military service runs deep in our family. My oldest sister served as a Sergeant in the United States Armed Forces, my brother also proudly served in the military, and many other members of our family have answered the call to protect this nation.
Today, we honor all of the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedom. May we never take that freedom for granted.
Happy Memorial Day πΊπΈ
